Description: This article is about act login. If you don’t want to have your overlay on your screen but don’t want to close out of ACT, you can go into ACT click the plugins tab, then click the Plugin Listing tab, you can uncheck OverlayPlugin.dll and it will hide the overlay until you check mark it again.
I’m going to do a quick tutorial on advanced combat tracker at least the Final Fantasy plugin for it, I was having some problems installing when I first installed it and I messed around with it a lot, I finally got to work, I’m trying to tell you all the little bits happening between your antivirus, blocking, a firewall or some things that need to be unblocked on your files.
I got most my information from fusion, otherwise from comments or forms, what you first need to do is to go to advanced combat tracker, go to the downloads, you’ll need to download this first, once you have it downloaded, you go to downloads.
Once you have it up, you need to make sure where you download it into, I kept it as default, hit install before you open this up, it’s important that you right-click, you hit properties, you are going into compatibility and you hit run this program as an administrator or you’re going to have problems later on.
Once you open it up, it’s going to start loading in, it’s going to have light a little startup wizard, you’re going to hit next, you’re going to want to get available parsing plugins, it automatically pulls up Final Fantasy, it’s important that you use this plugin, make sure you click this add and start.
So you go into plugins, most people do combined pets with owner into simulate individual doctorates, that’s usually like the default things people do, if you hit test game connection and it says succeeded, then you have it working, if it doesn’t happen, it’s most likely your antivirus or your firewall.
I use a vest, you open up your antivirus, go into your settings, you want to do an exclusion, I already have mine added, but what you do you is to hit browse, you need to find out where you have it, in my case it’s in my C Drive, it’s going to be Program Files and combat tracker.
If you want to know the path, it’s your C Drive by default, go to your Program Files, check advanced combat tracker and then hit OK, that’s how you get your exclusion for your antivirus, now you need to go to your control panel for your Windows Firewall.
Here you click Windows Firewall, it’s easier for me to view by small icons, if you have it large icon or category, it gets more confusing sometimes, I like small icons, you go to his firewall, allow an app or feature through firewall, you are going to hit change settings, allow another app, you need to do browse.
Honestly I had the shortcut download to my computer, that worked me, but if that doesn’t work for you, I’m assuming you go to your C Drive obviously, I used to desktop one, you hit open, you allow it, mine’s already added because I had it previously downloaded, so it remembered that it was there.
To get the overlay that I use, you need to go to this link, I’ll have it in the description, I already have it up, once you open it, you’re going to want to download it, this is one I download, I have it in my downloads, I have it in my overlay plug-in.
What you’re going to want to do is to right click, hit properties and hit on block, it’s important that you do this, otherwise you’re going to have problems, you’re going to have error messages and stuff, I found blocked it, I’m going to open it either with WinRAR or 7-zip.
You’re going to go to where the program is located, it is located in C Drive, Program 86, advanced combat tracker, now it’s it doesn’t matter where you put the overlay, but I want to put it with combat tracker, that way I know where it is.
You can type in, it doesn’t matter what’s named, I’m going to name it overlay, I’m going to unzip all these files into here, remember that you have to unblock it or you’re going to have problems, that’s in there now, I’m going to open up combat tracker.
We go into plugins, I want to hit browse where if you download your folder into or your file into, I made a folder into my actual thing and I unzipped it into here, I open it and you’re going to want to find overlay plug-in DLL, when I open it, you need to add able plug-in.
It should be working initialized, what you have to do is that I don’t use the spell timer, so I remove that to add in the actual overlay into it, you’re going to want to use this link here, I’ll have that in link in the description, you need to post that here.
It reloaded you overlay, you’ll have this fancy thing pop-up, this is where you’re going to see all your stuff, some other settings that a lot of people do is that they hide the overlays, I like the default overlay’s preference, I believe that should have everything work.
You have these arrows, minimize it, DPS tank tells you how much damage they are healing, you could see how much they’re healing, so you get to see how much the healer’s healing, if your dps are using your second winds or they pop some potions, you can hit setting, you can mess with this stuff, you can mess with the colors.
I don’t mess with this stuff now, this is big, I have a lot of stuff on my screen, there’s this little notch here, I don’t know if you’ll see it, but you can drag and resize things, I like it a little smaller, the 24 is obviously for raids to see more people in there.
If you click on this, it shows instances, you have to reload overlay if you want to restart the thing, to show you that it works, let’s get rid of that message, obviously you can see DPS, I pop a potion, you’ll see how much I appeal possibly.
If you ever want to see how things go, if you have any questions afterwards, stay tuned, I was going through the settings, there was a way to put in some, I don’t know if it’s in here or if it’s in your actual combat tracker, I was messing around with it, it’s nice because you had another device.
People play on ps4 s and stuff, there’s a way to add an IP address and track GPS through that, obviously it wouldn’t be on your main screen because as a ps4 you’re probably using a TV or something, but it would show up under computer, that would be cool to watch that where you need a mess around with or where your combos might be better GPS.
What I want to tell you was for whatever reason that you’re still getting an error and you’ve messed with your antivirus, you’ve unblocked the files, you’ve made an exception in your firewall and you’re still getting a problem, this is fusion’s video, someone commented that they were having this error, I had this error before I did the exception.
If you’re still getting this error for the reason, this person added a line directly after run time command in ACT exe file, if you want to add that, you have to go to your C Drive, your Program Files, again add this if you’re still having problems.
This is configue file, by default you’re not able to edit this, if I hit edit and I try saving it, I believe they will say after runtime command, you can paste it, it won’t let me save it, I can try saving it, it says that you won’t replace it, to get around that you have to right-click properties and security.
You’re going to need to edit your permissions because now you have read execute, you’re going to need to be able to modify, you honestly might as well do full control, you’ll be able to edit, paste this in there and hit save, if you’re still having that problem, it should have worked, thank you for reading, that’s all I have to show you, if you have any questions, post it in the comments.
