If you are an hourly employee and want to login to the full time portal,you will see a screen similar to this,on this screen there are three large widget windows,the main window that you see defaults to the record time stamp and includes a transfer area in case you need to transfer your hours to a different cost center,however most people will not use that transfer feature.
In addition,there are these two right-hand widgets,the my calendar widget and the my timecard widget,there is a my reports widget online help which is not useful in most cases. The main window or recording your timestamp is placed there. When you arrive at work,when you leave for lunch,when you come back from lunch and when you leave for the end of the day,you need to record your timestamp,you can do that through this window through a time clock.
To the full portal to view your timecard and to see the time stamps that you have processed during the pay period,you can come over to my timecard window and click on the little circle to the right of my time card and click pop-out. In doing that,you will move the time card window from the right hand side over to the left and replace the time stamp with the time card.
However the time stamp widget will appear or remain visible and you can use this record time stamp if needed. The main purpose of the timecard view is to view the time stamps that you have recorded throughout the pay period,you cannot edit the timecard,the timecard is in a view only mode for you,the only thing you can do with it is to approve it or remove approval if it’s necessary in order to allow your supervisor to make changes to your timecard,you cannot make changes to your timecard.
The main areas of the timecard window includes the ability to change the pay period which you are viewing,if you are into the next pay period and you want to punch the previous pay period,you can change that timeframe if you need to. In addition,you can see how many total hours that you worked as well as any accrued time or holiday time that you took,those were indicated on your time card.
There is a total column here which is normally the sum of these numbers to stay,that is a total number of paid hours,in addition you can view your calls from this tab. Those are represented within this time period. If you want to utilize the floating quality,in a pay period you will see that has been indicated,those are these numbers,you can view the reporting period,additional and time earned in the pay period.
This is read only,if changes are needed to be made,you should alert your supervisor,they can edit your timecard for you. The other widget that is visible at all times is the my calendar widget,you can pop that out,you can come over to the little wheel and put pop out.
What you’ll see is that now the time card has been replaced by the calendar widget. Typically you’ll see a one-week view and you’ll see your schedule if you are scheduled to work. The main purpose of this view is to view your schedule within the pay period and most importantly to be able to submit time off.
If you’re not certain about how to submit time off,you can view the tutorial on submitting time off. I want to point out a few other features that are available within the program. You have an inbox here,the purpose of the inbox is to support what you see at the top,this is your notifications window.
In this particular case if I see a number,I can click on that and I will see one or more notification to me. In this particular case,I have submitted a time off request and I’m being notified of the result of my time off request,I can view that if I wish.
In addition within the inbox I can also see messages to me,those are messages strictly within the system,I can click on those messages by double clicking,I can open them up and I can see if the changes have happened to an existing request. In this particular case,I can view whether the status of my request has been changed or responded to,in this case and I can see that.
I can click close,I want to close that window,you can click the X ,that will close the tabs,you can’t click the tab,there is no way to close it in my information tab,but any additional tabs will open up here,you can keep them close by clicking this.
The online help widget is not useful so you can ignore that. I have a report,I will go ahead and click on that,that is an ability for you to print a detailed time card for the current pay period or for another time period. You can click that and you can then click view report.
It will open up a printable view. To print this,you will have to use the menu from Internet Explorer,you can find the print menu. If this is not visible to you,then you will need to turn that on. You can try to click it within the timecard to get a menu of print,if it does not work,you have to come up into this area.
If you click there,you can see a print option. This is the main function that is available to you within the timecard space,if you are uncertain about how to proceed,you can speak with your supervisor,they can help you to be sure that you’re clocking in and out properly.
