Welcome to the tutorial for the compensation and benefits employee portal, today we’ll be learning how to enter your time card information, view your vacation accruals, request time off, view my calendar and view general information, compensation and benefits shares with employees.
From the homepage of the intranet, scroll down under links, find the compensation and benefits employee portal, click once, this will bring you to the login page for ADP, click on the user login, in this box type in your user login that was provided to you by ADP.
Your username is normally your first initial and last name, however, ADP could have assigned a number after your last name, if you have problems, please reach out to the compensation and benefits department, they’ll be happy to assist you.
I am going to login, in the next box type in your password, then click OK, you are now at the home page of the employee portal, from this page you can access many important items, however, what we are going to focus on is entering your time card attendance.
Please select the tab time and attendance, from the drop-down box click on my time card, we are now at the my timecard page, in the middle of the page select the box called my timecard, if this is your first time logging into ADP, this page will show you by default the current date, but don’t worry, I will show you how to change this option.
Let’s change the date range for our timecard, select the time period you would like to view, this week is always the best option to select, we will now add a second line to our timecard, adding a second line will enable you to enter your time in and out.
Let’s fill out a timecard, remember to click on the Save button, you’ll see the blue diamonds appear, after you click the Save button, click on the find button, you will see yellow triangles appear, the yellow triangles let you know that your information was saved to the server.
Did you see a stop sign on your timecard? There is no need to panic, what this means is that you started filling out your timecard but never finished inputting your information, you need to fill out the rest of your information, to view your vacation accruals, from the homepage click on time and attendance, my accruals.
From this page it will show you carryover hours, float holiday hours, prepaid hours and your vacation hours, this page will also show you the bank holidays, vacation time is the time of year we all plan for, to make sure that we have our time scouted off without any hitch, let me show you how to fill out your vacation time off correctly.
From the home page select time and attendance, my timecard, then select new time off request, in the description field if you choose, you can describe your time off, below on the calendar choose the dates you wish to request off, a schedule will appear.
From the earnings code drop-down menu, choose the accrued description from your time accruals shown above, in the hours column type in the amount of hours you wish to be out of the office, in the review pie box please make sure to add a review by day.
This will prompt your supervisor to review your request, then you will click Submit, if you are scheduling your vacation down the road, it is not a problem, to schedule future time off submit your time off request, as discussed earlier in this tutorial, once you have submitted your future vacation request, you’ll be able to view it from your timecard.
From the home page, select time and attendance, my timecard, on the next page select my timecard, as you can see below, this person has submitted a future requests for time off, if you you need to cancel your vacation or some time off that you requested, follow these next simple steps.
From the home page, select the time and attendance tab, select my attendance, in the year drop-down select the current year, from the request number column select the time that you wish to cancel, then select cancel request, your request is now canceled.
If you go to the time card page, see the box my calendar and wonder what it is for, let’s take a look, from the home page, select time and attendance, my time card, from the my time card page, select my calendar, the information that can be shown here is your vacation, sick time, leaves of any particular absence and other.
As you can see, there is no information available, you will need to select the information that you would like displayed by clicking on each of the boxes, as a reminder if you fill out your time card and select other, please make sure to add a note to your time card.
