With ADT Pulse,you can manage your security from anywhere,this short tutorial will walk you through the application available on both Android and iOS platforms.
You can enter your pulse username and password and then select your server,if your home is in the United States,you need to choose us. Next,you can set up a four digit PIN to make your logging in quick and easy,after logging in,you’ll see your customizable dashboard,the glance at the top right corner shows you if there are any open sensors or alerts.
Moving down the dashboard,you can see a red or green icon displaying the status of your security system,you can simply tap the icon to change your system status,if you have pulse connected video cameras,you can quickly see live views by swiping left or right on the camera section. To enlarge the view or capture a video clip,you can simply press the expand icon,the image will switch to a larger landscape mode.
You can touch the image,a menu of options will appear on the right side. You can record a video clip,take a snapshot,view recorded pictures or video clips or see all of your cameras and their associated clips and activity in a single location by pressing the appropriate icon. To return to the dashboard,you can click the back buttons on your Android phone,or you can click the collapse icon on your iPhone.
In the dashboard tiled,you can see the status of sensors and devices on your system,you can take quick action such as turning on a light or locking your door by simply touching the device tile. If you want to change the order of your dashboard tile,you can simply press down on any of the tiles and drag and drop them until it best fits your needs.
Once you start scrolling down,the status of your system will move to the top right of the application,this gives you the ability to quickly arm or disarm your system at any time while using ADT Pulse. Built-in troubleshooting tools ensure your system is always up and running. You can press the activity icon in the bottom tab bar of the application to quickly see activity over the past 24 hours,pressing the filter button allows you to filter results based on time frame or specific device activity. Moving to the right in the bottom tab bar,home view is a blueprint of your home and connected pulse devices.
You can tap an icon to see the devices status,if the garage door left open,you can tap the icon and tap it again to close it. If you want to view a camera,you can tap on a camera icon and you’ll be taken to a view of all your camera’s. Home view is quick and easy to setup by using the ADT Pulse web portal,the last tab in the bottom bars for any messages that ADT may send regarding your account is new pulse features or system updates.
If there are any unread messages,you will see an alert on the icon. Another quick way to navigate the application is to use the menu icon in the top left corner of the dashboard screen,you can click on any of the menu items for more information including the guided application tutorial.
The main menu is also where you can access the settings for your application,in settings,you can further customize your experience,you can choose your preferred dashboard view upon login and select which camera displays first on the dashboard. One will allow streaming live video from your cameras over a data network.
You can navigate to your settings menu at the same time to adjust your streaming preferences,the settings menu is also where you can connect devices like ring and Nest Learning Thermostat to your pulse system.
