Next set up a four digit PIN to make logging in quick and easy, after logging in, you’ll see your customizable dashboard, the glance at the top right corner shows you if there are any open sensors or alerts, moving down the dashboard, you can see a red or green icon displaying the status of your security system.
Simply tap the icon to change your system status, if you have pulse connected video cameras, you can quickly see live views by swiping left or right on the camera section, to enlarge the view or capture a video clip, simply press the expand icon.
The image will switch to a larger landscape mode, touch the image and a menu of options will appear on the right side, record a video clip, take a snapshot, view recorded pictures or video clips or see all of your cameras and their associated clips and activity in a single location by pressing the appropriate icon.
To return to the dashboard, click either of the back buttons on your Android phone or on your iPhone, click the collapse icon, in the dashboard tiles you can see the status of sensors and devices on your system, take quick action like turning on a light or locking your door by simply touching the device tile.
If you want to change the order of your dashboard tiles, simply press down on any of the tiles and drag and drop them the best fit your needs, once you start scrolling down, the status of your system will move to the top right of the app.

Press the activity icon in the bottom tab bar of the app to quickly see activity over the past 24 hours, pressing the filter button allows you to filter results based on time frame or specific device activity, moving to the right in the bottom tab bar.
Home view is a blueprint of your home and connected pulse devices, tap an icon to see the devices status, garage door left open, tap the icon and tap it again to close it, if you want to view a camera, tap on a camera icon and you’ll be taken to a view of all your cameras.
Home view is quick and easy to set up using the ADT Pulse web portal, the last tab in the bottom bars is for any messages that ADT may send regarding your account, your pulse features or system updates, if there are any unread messages, you will see an alert on the icon.
Another quick way to navigate the app is to use the menu icon in the top left corner of the dashboard screen, click on any of the menu items for more information including the guided app tutorial, the main menu is also where you can access the settings for your app.
In settings you can further customize your experience, choose your preferred dashboard view upon login and select which camera displays first on the dashboard, one will allow streaming live video from your cameras over a data network.
Simply toggle the settings on, quickly navigate to your settings menu at any time to adjust your video streaming preferences, the settings menu is also where you can connect devices like ring and Nest Learning Thermostat to your pulse system.
