The Navy provides many resources for sailors to manage their career. These resources are spread across the internet. Navigating to the exact one you need is tedious and time-consuming.
The Navy created my Navy portal in 2017 which is a new web portal that aggregates several personnel training and education websites for sailors into one easy-to-use system.
The goal is to provide a single portal where sailors can manage their careers from the day they join the Navy. It doesn’t contain all of a sailor’s records and data. But today capabilities are being added about every two to three months.
By 2020 a sailors personnel training and education records and data will be available for one-stop experience. My navy portal has clickable tabs for every facet of your Navy career, new to the Navy advancement and promotion assignment, Leave Travel, career continuation, deployment pay and benefits performance, retirement and separation, sailor and family support and training education and qualifications.
My navy portal will have everything in the same place increasing your productivity and reducing the administrative burden. My navy portal will be the one-stop access point for self-service in your record.
The Navy is vigorously working to provide a mobile version of the portal which will be accessible via smart phones and tablets. We are even developing the capability to access accounts without having to use a CAC but using your fingerprint to access your smart phone.
My navy portal is getting smoother, faster and smarter by the day when the system is fully capable. In 2020 every single personnel transaction will be able to be done in the portal. You’ll be able to skip a trip to PSD with your online bank.
Orange company upload your personal information or a picture of your birth or marriage certificates and you’re done. Your status and pay is updated. The first time you do a PCS move, there is no need to fill out the endless paperwork and wait months.
It will be simple and in your hands. The way you expect it to be done, the way you deserve to have it done. My Navy portal will be flexible enough to grow with you through all of your career and life events.
