TradeNow With Ally Invest Using VectorVest 7

July 9, 2018

Description: The article is about ally bank login. This is an introduction about how to trade directly from the VectorVest system into your Ally invest account. You have the capability to trade stocks directly through the vector vest platform into your Ally financial account.

I’m excited to announce a brand new partnership which vector vest has entered with Ally financial. You have the capability to trade stocks directly through the vector vest platform into your Ally financial account. You could select stocks from anywhere within the vector vest software, you can send them to your Ally account by using the trade now feature.

You don’t have to go back and forth between vector vest and Ally and you don’t have to manually enter each position one at a time. You can also trade baskets of stocks with a few clicks of the mouse. I am at the home page of the vector vest 7 program.

The first thing you’re going to do is to link up your Ally account to vector vest 7. To do that, I’m going to come up to the top and click on tools, I am going to go to application settings and click on the trading tab at the top. You will see a link that says add a new brokerage, I’m going to click on that.

I’m going to link my account to vector vest 7. If you don’t have an Ally account, you can use this link to open up a new account. If I click on that, there’s how it works. You can use the link to open up a new account. You can open an Ally invest account. If you fund it within 30 days with 5, 000 dollars or more, you will get $1, 000 in trade commission credit.

You’ll also receive a free copy of the options’ playbook and the integrated trade now feature within Vector vest. If I scroll down, as a select member, you’ll enjoy dedicated support, broker assistance, waived fees and no-cost Express deposits. It is very simple.

You can open up a new account, you can click on the link, I’m going to go ahead and link up my account to Vector vest. I’ll click on this link, it’ll ask you for your username and password, you can enter those in, you can click on sign in, it’ll ask you to authorize Vector vest to access your account, you can click on authorize and you’re ready to go.

If you need to unlink your Ally account, you can do this by using this link within the trading tab. Those are order defaults. The default order is set to a market order. When you’re placing trades, you can set the default to a limit order, a stop order or a stop limit order, you can also change the defaults for those type of orders within the trading tab. I’m going to leave it at a market order, I am going to click on OK.

You can trade stocks from anywhere within the vector best program. I’m going to come up to the top, I am going to click on viewers. We’re looking at our top VST stocks, I’m going to highlight the top 3 stocks, I’m going to click it and I’m going to select trade now Ally.

This will open up an order ticket, I’m going to review this order ticket with you. I’m going to move from left to right , you’ll see the first column is action. You can buy, sell, sell short or buy to cover the security. I’m going to select buy. I am going to type in how many shares I wish to purchase. I’m going to type in 100 shares. You have the symbol, the company name, current bid and last prices.

The default of the order type is market so it is a market order. You can change the order type from the order ticket. If you change it to a limit order, you can change the limit price. If you use a limit order, you can change the duration from good for the day to good till cancelled.

I’m going to leave it at market order. I am going to come back to HIIQ, I want to buy that one, I am going to type in 100 shares, I’ll leave the order type at market and leave the same thing with court. If everything looks good, you can click on preview orders, you’ll see the estimated total Commission at the bottom.

Ally is now offering $3.95 Commission per trade for vector vest client, you could see that in the estimated Commission column. For each trade, the total estimated costs are at the bottom. If everything looks good, you can click on place orders.

That will send those three orders directly to your Ally account. I’m not going to go ahead and do that, but let me show you another great feature that we have within the vector vest program. I’m going to click on exit and click on cancel.

Those orders are sent over to Ally, they’re not tracked in vector vest, you can manually track them, you can use the genius to manage that basket of stocks that you purchased. They don’t automatically appear in the vector vest program as a managed position.

We have a tool called the Robo trader, the Robo trader is a powerful tool that makes it much easier to manage your portfolio by keeping your emotions out of the way. It helps you trade your plan the, Robo trader watches those stocks around the clock and alerts you when a trade needs to be made.

A Robo trader is available to all account levels. I’m going to come up to the top and click on Robo trader. Since we’ve already linked up our Ally account, we need to add that account to Robo trader, you don’t see your Ally account, you’re able to trade directly through vector vests to your Ally account, but we have to add the Allied to the Robo trader.

I’m going to come down to the bottom left and click on add new account. You can manually place trades with a brokerage of your choice within Robo trader, you can automatically place trades with a partner brokerage, I’m going to click on Ally. There’s the Ally account that I added to this vector vest 7 account, we’ve labeled it as Ally retirement.

We can check the box, we can simply click on Add Account. You’ve added your Ally financial trading account to the Robo trader. When you send over orders, you can use the stock viewer and the trade now feature without using Robo trader, it sends them to your Ally account, they are considered unmanaged positions.

If we look down at the bottom, this is our Ally account that I set up, in that account there are currently eight holdings, they are considered unmanaged because they are not part of a portfolio within the Robo trader tool. When you select the account, you’ll see the total value of the account and your current buying power. I’m going to show you how to add stocks to a Robo trading portfolio.

I’m going to move back over to another vector vest 7 account that we use every day during our jockey club sessions. This is the Robo trader tool that we use every day for the jockey club, there are two accounts linked up here, we use our Ally financial account, we also use our interactive brokers account.

You can also create multiple trading systems within each account, in our Ally account, we have two trading systems within that account, in our IB account, we have three trading systems within that account. To create a new trading system within our Ally account, you can click on this little plus sign that says add new trading system, it’ll bring up the portfolio genius wizard, you can give it a name.

I’m going to call this my portfolio, you can put a description if you like. This is important, you’re going to tell the genius how much money to manage within this trading system, for the purpose of this demonstration, I’m only going to put in $1, 000.

If you have the vector vest 7 real-time program or if you own the auto timer module, you can select an existing trading system that we’ve pre-built for you or you can build a custom trading system. If I click on build a custom trading system, you can use any market timing system that we have in the list.

This is only available if you are a real time subscriber or you own the auto timer module. For the purposes of this demonstration, I’m not going to use timing, you can fill stocks and put them into this portfolio from one of your favorite vector vest searches.

If you own the Derby, you can also fill stocks from our Derby tool. I’m going to select don’t fill, I’m going to show you how you can cherry-pick stocks from anywhere within the software and put them into this trading system.

I’m going to select don’t fill. I’m going to set stop criteria. The Robo trader helps you trade your plan the way it is intended. That plan is setting stops. I’m going to select percent gain loss. I’m going to simply select 15 gain and 5 loss. I’m going to sell positions when they go up 15 percent, I’m going to sell them if they go down 5 percent.

I’m going to select finish. I want the genius on. Finally, I’m going to click on save, that adds that trading system to my Ally account. I have a thousand dollars in buying power, you can see the total value, there is no gain and no loss. I haven’t entered any positions yet.

To do that, I’m going to go back to the stock viewer and I’m going to add those three top VST stocks to that trading system. I’m going to highlight all three, I’m going to click them. That would open up a trade ticket and that would send those three trades directly to my Ally account, but they’ll be unmanaged, they won’t be in a portfolio so that I can track them within vector vest.

To do that, I’m going to select trade now with Robo trader, this brings up the wizard, it’ll say choose account, I have multiple accounts in this vector vest 7 program, I am going to choose my Ally account, I am going to click on next, I need to choose trading system, I’m going to choose the trading system that I created.

If you need to add a new trading system, you can do that from this wizard, you can click on add new trading system. I’m going to select my portfolio, I will click on next, I’ll spend all $1, 000 on those 3 positions, you can also sell short.

I’m going to select that 5% loss or 15% gain, if I click on next, that will open up the trade ticket. It automatically knew from the previous prompt that I wanted to buy those 3 stocks, so the action was already filled in. The quantity is already filled in, I want to allocate $1, 000 to these three positions, so it’s smart enough to know how many shares to buy for each stock, that’s what the tool will do, it’ll dollar weight your portfolio evenly.

It is roughly putting about 3300 dollars into each position that equates to 9 shares of HIIQ. Everything else looks good, market orders are fine, I’ll click on preview orders, there’s the estimated total Commission.

There’s the total estimated cost, we can see the total estimated Commission. If I click on place orders, they’re being sent to Ally, you’ll notice the alerts button that popped up, they’re still pending. Your orders have been successfully submitted, please close this window to view an updated order status.

If I click on close, they’re still pending. They’ve executed, you get a little alerts button at the bottom left, it tells you how many shares were purchased. If I click on close and then cancel, if I go back to Robo trader, we can see the next section. If I click on our holdings tab, we can see our current holdings, we can see the purchase type.

We can see the purchase date, the current price and the current return on investment. For the purposes of this demonstration, I didn’t put a lot of money into each position, most of this is simply Commission. You could see the cost per share, the percent price change for each stock from the previous day’s close, the current recommendation, how many shares I’m holding and the gain in dollar amount.

We can see the gain or loss, the market value, , the stocks and the stop criteria. You could see that our stop criteria for each position is15 gain or five loss. This is a fantastic tool to help you manage your portfolio, it keeps everything all in one place, it is very organized, you’re able to keep track of each position every single day.

If I click on our graphs tab, we will get a little portfolio equity curve. We’re only about six minutes into this current campaign, you could see that the equity curve is an intraday equity curve. If I click on this wrench, you can change the equity curve to an end-of-day equity curve. We don’t have end-of-day data, we’re only six minutes into the campaign, I’m going to go back to intraday and click on that wrench to close.

You can also view some reports within Robo trader. If I go to reports, you can view the transaction log, you can view a summary report, it gives you the current values and the close of every day, you can see your current winners and losers, the best and worst trades, your fees, interest received or paid and your total commissions.

You can also view your trade history from this report. If I click on that, these will be all your closed positions as the campaign matures. There are some great resources within the Robo trader. If I click on this resources tab, you can download a QuickStart guide, you can view and download a guide on how to use the Robo trader in the Derby.

We have some great resources within the Robo trader tool. You can try out the Robo trader risk-free for 30 days by simply giving our support department a call at 8886587638 or visiting vectorvest.com/vvrobotrader.
