Description: The article is about at&t wireless login. The passage mainly focuses on the $30 unlimited data plan on the AT&T network. The author does some research to see the feasibilty of the $30 unlimited data plan on the AT&T network.
What would you think of a $30 unlimited data plan on the AT&T network? First I thought that sounds cool, then the next thing I thought is that sounds like a bunch of bull. But apparently,it may be true. AT&T has a service called data Connect pass,it’s for tablets and other mobile devices and if you see here it says that they have unlimited megabytes for 30 days and it’s $29.99.
I first learned about this by reading the smart phone matters YouTube comments,Taylor Renton mentioned that he was using this and he says that he’s getting unlimited data and over 100 megabits down speed,it looks like there’s no maximum download speed.
I did a little investigation into this, what I found is that AT&T has these data connect pass plans for tablets and other mobile devices, they have a bunch of different plans here I’m not going to talk about them all.
Essentially what you’re doing is that you’re buying a pass for data, you’ll see here that they have the unlimited megabytes for 30 days,it’s $29.99,they also have a couple other options, they have 250 megabytes for 24 hours for $5,they have two gigabytes of data for 90 days for $25,but the one that everybody interested in hearing about is the unlimited megabytes for 30 days.
I want to make this clear, this is not a phone plan, you can’t transfer your current phone number to this because there’s no voice service that comes with this, you won’t be able to send text messages, this is is a data pass, you can’t sign up for this and have it self renew, every 30 days you need to go and buy a new data pass.
If you scroll down a little bit, you’ll see that they have data Connect passes that auto renew, but for $30 you’ll only get four gigabytes of data instead of unlimited data. Can you replace your phone service with this? Probably not or at least you need to do some work to get things set up. If you need voice be able to talk on the phone make phone calls or send text messages, you’ll need to have VoIP service.
If you’re not sure what I mean by a VoIP service or plan,I will tell you that. I’m talking about these services that give you a phone number let you talk text possibly send picture messages, but these services use your internet connection instead of a cellular connection. This could be a service like Skype or Google Voice.
With any voice or VoIP service, you need to check to see which of those three services you’re going to get or included, you need to find out whether they’re free or premium, you’ll need to pay for them. Now I always thought it would be cool to try a day to only sim in a smart phone,I did it with Google’s Project Phi,I got the data and used it in one of my phones for a while,in theory this should work.
It doesn’t say what the eligible devices are,it says that if you want to buy a session, you can use the all-access application or visit this link, let’s check out the link. If you’re a new customer, you need to sign up and fill out some information,it starts with the IMEI of your device and then they want the serial number of your SIM and then you’ll need to go through these four steps to be able to buy the data service.
There’s an FAQ here, you can check that out. I won’t go through all the details of that,it also looks like they have a Terms of Service. Here are some of the details for their Terms of Service, this looks like their generic Terms of Service but it is not necessarily something for the data Connect pass.
I’m going to need to find an AT&T SIM to try this out,I don’t know if I could use any AT&T sim or whether it needs to be a specific data only sim for a tablet, but it sounds like Taylor who from the YouTube comments got this set up and working.at least it’s possible？
Even though I haven’t had a chance to try this out I thought it was interesting,so I want to share it with you. I’ll check out the stores and see if I can find an AT&T data only or tablet sim and give it a try.
