Description: The article is about at&t wireless login. The author does a coverage comparison of Verizon and AT&T buy using coverage maps. The author shows the coverage of the Verizon and AT&T on maps respectively to show their coverage zones in different areas.
Today I’m going to doi another coverage comparison between Verizon Wireless and AT&T. Now I am using a different map here, this map is from an application on iOS devices called coverage. Coverage is an application where it takes carriers coverage maps and puts them in their own map, these are carrier coverage map based, these are the exact same as carrier coverage Maps.
The only difference is that these coverage provides are a lot easier to use as opposed to the carrier coverage maps. They still provide the same coverage comparison as if you were to go to their website and look at the coverage map itself.
We have AT&T Verizon,Sprint and t-mobile but today we’re only going to be doing AT&T and Verizon and comparing them. One of the things that I like about coverage is that you can compare roaming 2g,3G,HSPA+,4G and 4G LTE,that’s one of the things that I definitely like about.
The application called coverage is that you have the option to choose between all these carriers, you can choose which carrier you want. One of the things I like is that if you look at their map, this is Sprint’s coverage map,but we’re not going to compare Sprint.
You can overlap maps, you can see t-mobile and Sprint coverage maps at the same time and see which one has the good service as opposed to the other. You can overlap map, that’s one of the things that I like about the application called coverage.
I’m going to look at ATT first, this is our map,I’m going to start out with 2g,I’m not going to go roaming only because roaming doesn’t count as AT&T’s coverage,it only counts as other networks coverage, let’s start out with 2G.
AT&T is 2g,voice coverage provides very excellent coverage with the exception of a few areas, but for the most part they provide very excellent coverage, the only problem that I would see AT&T not being so ideal with is in Nebraska or Nevada.
Those are the only two states that AT&T wouldn’t be ideal for a wireless carrier. Wyoming maybe have them, east part of Wyoming have been covered but the west part is completely left with no coverage. This is where AT&T offers voice coverage, but most of it is on the East Coast,a lot of it is not on the west coast.
If you’re on the East Coast,AT&T will most likely work for you,but you still have a couple of blank with no coverage spots, for instance in Tennessee,West Virginia,Virginia,North Carolina,Oklahoma, but for the most part on the East Coast, you should be good.
The west coast is a lot different, they have a lot of no coverage zones in Nebraska,Wyoming, parts of Montana,Nevada,Northern Arizona and western New Mexico. Let’s look at Verizon’s voice coverage. Verizon’s voice coverage is more,I don’t want to say it is better because it’s obviously going to depend on where you’re at,but they definitely have more coverage throughout the country in terms of voice coverage than AT&T does, you can tell it on this map.
If you look at the entire state with the exception of this, almost the entire state of Nebraska is covered by Verizon voice coverage along with Wyoming got some excellent coverage, they have a lot of blank white spots, but those are typically in areas where people don’t live or travel, they maybe only have 100 people living in the town, they are mountains, those are the only areas where Verizon has no coverage.
Let’s take a look at the East Coast,Verizon has quite a bit of no coverage in West Virginia, but that’s about the only state that I see on the East Coast that doesn’t have very good coverage with Verizon. On the west coast,Verizon has very good coverage as opposed to AT&T,now I’m only going to show voice coverage and LTE coverage from now on.
There are not a lot of people still use 3G,a majority of people are using 4G LTE,so I’m only going to show voice coverage and 4G LTE coverage because a lot of people do not use 3g anymore,3G was a thing in the past, now it’s more focused on 4G LTE,let’s go to back to AT&T and let’s click on AT&T’s LTE.
You can see that AT&T still has a lot to go in terms of LTE coverage,it’s mainly only focused on the East Coast yet again and on the west coast the only state that ATT& has good LTE coverage is California, but other than that,Nebraska,Wyoming,New Mexico,Nevada,Oregon,Idaho do not have a lot of LTE coverage unless you’re in the city or on a major highway,it’s mainly on the East Coast and even if you look at the East Coast, they still have quite a bit of spots where they did not provide LTE especially in Maine.
Maine does not have good LTE coverage by AT&T,but other than that you should be good on the East Coast. But it when it comes to the west coast AT&T definitely needs to catch up. Let’s switch back to Verizon.
This is their LTE coverage and their LTE coverage isn’t about 98% of their voice coverage,Verizon is mainly focused on LTE,that’s what I like about Verizon, wherever you get voice coverage, you’re going to get 4G LTE coverage for fast data speeds.
There are a lot of no coverage zones, but for the most part,if you’re in rural areas or you’re in major cities or even mid-sized cities or on major highways, nine times out of ten you’re going to get 4G LTE on Verizon, their LTE coverage is very good in terms the coverage and speeds.
Verizon definitely has a lot more 4G LTE coverage than AT&T. Obviously this is going to depend on where you are,I’m not going to say that Verizon is good and I’m not going to say that Verizon is bad,it depends on where you are,but you’re going to get more 4G LTE coverage where you’re at on Verizon than you are at AT&T. That shows you the coverage comparison vs AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
