Where To Get Audiobooks A Guide To Audio books

June 28, 2018

Description: The article is about audible login. The author introduces some great applications for getting audiobooks. Those are Audible,Scribe,Audiobooks by audiobooks.com,borrow box and LibriVox. You can choose your favourite one to use.

Today I’m going to talk about how you can get your hands on audiobooks for a reasonable price or even better for free. Buying audiobooks can be expensive. I’m going to begin talking about some of the paid services or subscriptions where you can get your hands on audiobooks, generally these have a much larger selection of audio books available.

After that I will get into some of the ways that you can get them for free. The subscription services that I’m going to highlight today is the one that I’m personally using. The first one I’m going to talk about is audible. Out of all of these subscription services after the trial, audible is the one that I’ve continued purchasing,I’ve been subscribed to it for a couple of years, the main reason for using this is their selection.

They have over two hundred thousand titles available, you can listen to audiobooks either on your computer or through their audible application. Some of the features in this application which I find helpful are the variable playback speed, you can speed up or slow down the narration, this is very handy,if the narrator talks quite slowly and you want to change it,you can listen to that audiobook faster.

There’s also a sleep timer,if you are reading while you’re going to bed,you can set a time after that point,it will stop playing the audio book,it doesn’t keep on playing the audio book for hours and hours until it finishes, you’re able to go back to where you dozed off and find a spot again.

You’re also able to skip forwards or backwards thirty Seconds which is useful if you find yourself getting distracted. You can skip back in thirty-second increments until you remember what happens. These features aren’t only in the audible application,a lot of the ones I’m talking about today have all of these features.

I want to show more details about them. For memberships, audible offers a couple of different types, the very basic one is the gold membership which is 14.95 u.s. dollars a month. For this, you will get one audiobook and you also are able to get 30% off for any additional audiobooks that you want to buy.

The Platinum membership is twenty two ninety five US dollars a month, that gives you two credits as well as a 30% discount. With these memberships, you are able to also purchase them annually, you will get a slightly discounted prices. Audible is one of the most expensive subscription services, but one of the things I like about them is that they frequently have sales or promotions going on.

One of my favorites promotion is that when you buy two audiobooks, you get your third free,so you can get three audiobooks for the price of two, they also occasionally do discounted prices of specific audiobooks, they offer a 30-day free trial where you can get one free credit to buy an audiobook of anything that you want.

I have an affiliate link for that so I will leave a link to that below if you are interested, but if you decide to cancel after the 30-day trial, you’re still able to access that audiobook and continue listening to it,that’s a handy thing to note.

The next description I’m going to talk about is scribed. I’m not sure how many audiobook titles that scribed has available, the only numbers I have been able to find is their total titles, that includes their ebooks and magazines and other documents,so I’m not sure how many audiobooks they offer.

You can listen to them on your computer, through their website or on your application. I no longer have a membership subscribed,I’m not able to go into the application and look at all the features. If any of you have a membership described, don’t mind leaving a comment to talk about some of the features that the application has especially in comparison to audible, that will be useful.

Their membership cost is 8.99 US dollars a month. When they first started out,it used to be unlimited access to ebooks and audiobooks, but now you’re able to access three ebooks and one audiobook each month with that subscription.

They have other documents and magazines which you have unlimited access to scribe, they also offer a monthly selection of books and audiobooks that you can access for free, that is their select section of the websites. For any of those that are listed, you can get access to them without paying anything,it is a bonus scribed.

You also have a 30-day free trial, but if you cancel after those 30 days, you don’t have access to that audiobook that you purchased for free, that’s why I’m not able to access the application and show you what the features are because it doesn’t let me touch them any more.

The last service I’m going to talk about is audiobooks from audiobooks.com. You can listen to these books either on your computer or through their application, some of their features include the variable playback, speed and the sleep timer. The membership cost for this is fourteen ninety five US dollars a month in which you receive one audiobook with that credit.

They also offer a 30-day free trial, this is the one I’m least familiar with so I’m not 100% sure what happens after the free trial,I am not sure if you’re still able to access it or not. I can’t remember that. These are not the only services available out there, there are quite a lot,you can go and search for it.

But those are the ones that I’ve mentioned and those are the ones that I have tried, but if any of these don’t sound great to you or you want to try something different,I will include a list down below for some other services and ways that you can buy audiobooks.

One of them that I can think of is iBooks. Having a look at the prices you buy,the cost of the audiobooks seems to be the same. There’s price range from thirteen dollars to about forty dollars which is now moving on to these free services.

You’re able to get audiobooks for free from your library, they’ll have some physical audio books that you can borrow. If you go into your library, you should be able to borrow some of the CDs. It has been a while since I’ve borrowed an audiobook from my library so I’m not sure if this is still around, but there’s the talking books or CDs which you can obviously use to listen on your computer or in your car.

In addition to that, your local library may also have digital audiobooks on offer to listen to through a variety of different applications. You can get that application and you can connect your library account to that, then you’re able to access the audiobook library and ebook library which is a bonus.

You will need to take a look at what applications your library uses,so you can download that and connect your account. Since you are using the library, you’re only borrowing the books so you’ll have a first certain amount of time and that totally depends on your library.

Buy one has recently upped the borrowing time from two weeks to three weeks. This selection of audio books available is completely dependent on your library,it depends which one they have and available to you. Instead of having a certain audiobook in mind and searching to see if I have it,I go through the list of all the audiobooks that they have on offer and see which ones I’m interested in,if I do it the other way around,I’m disappointed.

There are two applications that you can connect with. The first one is overdrive which I think is probably the most well known. You can listen to that on your computer or through the application. The application also has the variable playback speed, the sleep timer and you’re able to skip forward or backward in 15 second increments.

The last application that I’m going to talk about is borrow box, this one is associated with Belinda audio which is an audiobook publisher. A lot of the books I have have been published by a blender. With this one, you’re only able to listen to it on the application. I don’t think they have a computer platform for listening to audiobooks at least not yet.

This one also has the standard features of variable playback speed and skipping in 30-second increments. Those are some of the applications that I personally have tried myself,I would recommend them if you’re looking to start listening to audiobooks,I’m not sure where to begin. You should take a look at the list that I’ve included in the description.

If any of you know any additional services that I haven’t included them, please let me know so I can add that to the list,I am going to make it easier for everybody else to find them. I’m very curious to know how you like to get your audiobooks. Are you like spending a little extra money to go through audible? Is there another service that you prefer? Are you more loyal to your library? I hope you found this article helpful.
