Description: The article is about bsbs login. The author explains some frequently asked questions about Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance and how it applies to your billing statement at HealthCARE Express urgent care centers in Texas.
My name is Kim Crumpton, I did Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance at healthcare Express, I can explain your urgent care versus specialty. Blue Cross Blue Shield allows 107.40, Blue Cross Blue Shield disallows 107.60, we have to write off this 107.60. What they’re going to pay us is this 107.40, your copay is $35 on some policies. Each policy varies with your copay. It depends on what your urgent care copay is.
Your copay is $35, Blue Cross Blue Shield is paying us 72.40, your $35 will come back, this is how we get our amount of 107.40. If you ever have a problem where you don’t understand your situation or you feel like that something was paid or not paid or it should have been paid, you can call us and ask us, we will be glad to get you and your insurance company on the phone at the same time to cut out a lot of the confusion.
If you are going to a regular doctor at one of the other clinics in town, your copay might be $25, but when you come to an urgent care setting, you might pay $50 copay or you might pay your specialty copay. Urgent Care is coming on when they can get their own benefits. If you don’t have urgent care benefits, you will have the higher copay as a specialty because that’s what we fall under.
I’d like to explain to you the BlueCross BlueShield federal plans deductible. Each plan changes something every year, it might be minor, it might be major, if you don’t use that benefit, you may never know that it changes. We call it once a year and find out what that deductible or changes are towards these groups.
For blue cross federal group 104 and 105, you have a three hundred and fifty dollar deductible after you’ve met or satisfied that three hundred fifty dollar deductible with urgent care, you will pay fifteen percent of all charges after that. With group 111 and 112, you have nothing but a $50 copay with Blue Cross federal for urgent care.
Those are the two plans that you have to choose from or the four plans you have to choose from, these are the benefits we send out. Every time you get your EOB, we’re about a week behind you. If you get EOB on one day and you have questions about it even the seven days before, you can call us and we can make sure that we have the correct EOB.
On your EOB, you should find the claim number, it’s always important for you to keep up with the claim number in the data service. You should always read your EOB. If there’s a charge on that, we will send you email if you don’t understand it, if your call us, we will sit down with you.
