Important information about dates and events are communicated through the calendar tab, student reports in the progress tab and news from classrooms phases and whole school groups in the blog’s tab. It is essential that every parent becomes familiar with the portal and logs into it regularly.
The blocks tab contains your newsfeed where you can find posts from all of the groups you are a member of. These posts contain news, videos, photos from the classroom as well as the important weekly blurb posted every Friday.
You will automatically be a member of your child’s form groups blog as well as their phase and the whole school blogs. You may also be added to other blogs such as specific subject groups, residential groups or events groups. To access a specific group blog, you can click on the group’s link and then select my groups.

The next tab we are going to look at is the calendar tab. It is one of the most important tabs to check regularly. As it contains essential information about upcoming dates and events for the school year, you can organize the dates by pupil which is useful if you have children in different areas of the school. You can also choose to view events for the following term all of the whole year ahead. Dates are color-coded for quick, reference term dates are in blue, school events are marked in green and notices will appear in red.
You can filter your dates into one or two categories by deselecting the checkboxes next to the categories you do not want to view. It is very important to check the calendar regularly as it details all of the school events. The next tab we are going to look at is the progress tab. This is where you can view academic reports for your children.
You can select individual children and academic years using the drop-down menu at the side. You can also use the drop-down menu to filter the reports by subject. The next tab to look at is the pastoral tab. Here you can find information about awards or certificates your child has won as well as their merit or house point totals which will be recorded at the end of the school year.
If your child receives a lunchtime detention for visits the head teacher for poor behavior, the details of this will also be posted here under this. To tell the attendance, tab contains information about your child’s attendance at school. If you have informed your child’s tutor about the reason for an absence, this information will be contained here.
Next time you log into the school hub please check the my contact details tab to ensure your details are up-to-date. You can enter the relevant information into the boxes and click the Save Changes button at the side. To manage the notifications you receive from the school hub via email, you can click on the drop down menu next to your name and first select my settings and then email settings.
