Description: The article is about chase sapphire reserve login. The author gives us his views and many details on Citi Thank You Premier Credit Card. It is a great credit card with which you can use your points for doing many things such as dining or shopping.
I want to remind you about the giveaway. I’m having for five hundred dollars and free air travel, free TSA PreCheck and Global Entry as well as some of the free prizes. I am excited to keep bringing you a review of this city Thank You premier card today. If this is your first time here my name is Jason and I am the founder of nomad travel hacker comm. I’m a travel rewards consultant and I teach people to the use of points and miles for free travel and experiences.
I am stoked to talk about the city Thank You premier card at the moment. This card looks very appealing. It’s got a 50,000 points signup bonus after a 4k minimum spend,$95 annual fee waived the first year, triple points on travel, gas stations double points on dying entertainment. This looks like the Chase Sapphire Preferred which is a heck of a card to be compared to. That’s who you want to be compared to,that’s the most popular card out there.
This looks fairly comparable at the moment. For some reason that I will never understand City loves is all of a sudden they get rid of the signup bonus for a lot of their cards out of nowhere. I don’t know why they do this. This card recently had zero signup bonus. The normal signup bonus of this card is thirty thousand. The thirty thousand points sign up bonus after four K minimum spend isn’t quite worth to me.
It sounds interesting but never quit putting me over the edge. 50,000 points may get my approval, but for zero I will choose not. It is very interesting to see. They may test different things or they decide sometimes to get rid of their signup bonus. You need to make sure that you’ve got at least a thirty thousand point signup bonus. We don’t see this fifty thousand points very often, but it is potential. You should make sure that there is at least a sign up bonus on here.
Let’s talk about their point multipliers which are good for you. One thing that’s missing from a lot of travel cards is that if they might offer a nice signup bonus after they get. There are not a lot of ways to earn points and they do not have a lot of long-term value. You’re deciding what do I do? Do I try to downgrade this card? Do I try to cancel this card or does it sit in the back of my cabinet and not being used? But this card has got some nice multipliers here. There are triple points on a lot of categories,so for any travel expense they are triple points.
It is better than the chase F I preferred in which you only get double points for that. But with the reserve you will get triple points but a ninety five dollar annual fee first year. This is looking good here with a nice sina bonus at the moment. They’ve also got some interesting stuff in here such as taxis parking but the most interesting one is gas. Gas stations is not something that’s normally included in any of the the other major travel cards. So if you’re someone that drives a lot for work and get reimbursed, you can stack up some nice mileage here. If you’re a professional driver this card will be great for you. So you can take a look if you do lots of driving.
You will get double points for restaurants and dining. I wish this was still on the triple multiple category. For entertainments and stuff like concert tickets,it is still good to choose. I personally spend a lot of money on that so that’s a great perk for me. This card is looking nice. It’s on paper here with the 50k sign up bonus. This card looks great. But it still is not as good as the Chase Sapphire Preferred. If you do not have that card already I will definitely look at that first.
There is something that you need to take a look. You can redeem your 50,000 points sina bonus for they call 625 and airfare if you book through their system. This is similar to a chase ultimate reward system where you can get one point or two five points for it four flights. I have heard that it has more restrictive and there are not many flight options as well as the flights are being more expensive inside their system. So I hear it’s not the best Redemption on here. But they have some interesting partners here. Let’s take a look at their partners.
One thing that you will notice on here is a big negative. It is they don’t have any of the major US carriers on JetBlue. It will be the biggest one and that’s not a major carrier. That’s a great airline. We want to see a United or an American Airlines or Delta or Southwest. This card is great for international and you can use these points on the International Airlines to book domestic.
It’s a little bit more tricky and we will like to see one of the big three Airlines in there for sure. Another thing is even with JetBlue, you’re only getting 50% of your miles that you transfer over because for a thousand points it’s only 500 JetBlue points. tI think at the moment they’re offering a 30 percent bonus, that’s still only like eighty percent of the the points you’re getting to keep. So they are not a good partner.
They’ve got some interesting partners here for example Turkish Airlines,Aysia miles,Avianca life miles,Etta Han,EVA Air,Flying blue. You can go some cool places and some nice Airlines here as well as Ottomans,Garuda Indonesia,Jet Airways Malaysia Airlines,Qantas and Qatar. They’ve also got some retail partners here. Never the best way to spend your points. But we’ll dig into that a little bit more. Singapore Airlines is an airline who has a transfer partner of everybody in the world. They’re great airline. I like that and I wish more airlines did that. And the Thai Air and Virgin Atlantic can also be a good way to get to Europe. It’s called the city price rewind.
If you ever bought something and then it’s gone on sale or you find a cheaper right after you purchase it,it’s a bummer. The city goes out and you can make a purchase here, you can register it on this site and then they will basically go out and look through a ton of different online merchants and looking for a lower price, and then give you some of the the money back. That’s cool and unique to City and easy especially if you’re buying expensive stuff such as TVs which tend to go on sale a lot or cameras and electronics. This is a cool perk of city that you don’t see with anyone else. I think that’s cool for them.
This is a common thing that we see with a lot of these transferable points. Is they giving you options to spend them on gift cards or electronics or Amazon? These are almost never the best Redemption. They have a couple things that are interesting here. I mentioned shopping with points, obviously the points transfer that we went through by that way is great. So being able to reduce your balance and pay off your balance with points is good. You’re not going to get as much value from any of these but especially this one.
If you are transferring your points to one of these airlines, they are going to give you the most bang for your buck. I love having more options and you never know when something’s going to happen and you’re low on money. So being able to use your points in different ways is never a bad thing. It’s your points in your life and you can do what you want with them. You can use it for an airline transfer. You never know you might need to give you an online bill pay,so this is a interesting option here. You can go on here and do an online bill pay and use your points. That’s cool. And the cash rewards are turning it back into cash. You’re not going to get the best return on your investment for your points here. But it’s never a bad thing to have more options.
If you want to go in and make a purchase and then get reimbursed for it,theyhave that option here. You’re not going to get the most value but this is a cool option to see in here. It’s flexible,so you can use it for dining, groceries, clothing or gas. There are a lot of categories where you can go on and make a purchase and instead of paying the balance for it you can pay in points and get a statement credit for it. You will know some cool options here which make this a very unique card.
Now I am going to summarize my views. I’m excited for this card with the 50000 point signup bonus. You have got my seal of approval to go on and apply for it. If you’re going to do it,it’s probably better to do it sooner than later because you never know when they’re going to disappear and lose that 50,000 points sina bonus. It might go to 0 one day. So if you’re not seeing this 50,000 points sina bonus you can always go to city’s page and look for your targeted offers or pre-approved offers on here. And maybe you will see it then. I hope this article is helpful for you. I’ll talk to you soon
