Description: The article is about chase sapphire reserve card which is the best credit card for travel. The author of the article shares with us about some experiences for his business trip in Las Vegas, from the content, we may learn some differences and comparisons between chase ink business preferred card and sapper reserve card.
Today I’m going to take you to Las Vegas with me while I use my chase business preferred and my chase sapper reserve card back by popular demands credit card wars part 4, so as you have seen on YouTube, there are a lot of people who talk about credit cards, trying to get approved, they’re reading off the chase website.
But today you are going to come with me while I go to Las Vegas on my business trip at prosper, so to start off, I booked my trip to Las Vegas on my chase business preferred card months ago, before I had my reserve card, I went online and I booked my trip, I booked the trip at Aria and I booked my flight using Alaska Airlines to Las Vegas.
When I booked the flight, my hotel stays using chases website, I was able to get a 25% bonus by using their reservation system through their website, so in order to put that into context 50,000 points equals right around $625 speaking about points and bucking, I have a disclaimer to me.
If you are paying interest on your chase credit cards, stop now, don’t watch this credit card wars part for video, because this will not work, you need to make sure that you don’t carry balances for this to work my second tip that another community member point out to me was the 5:24 rule.
If you’ve opened up five chase credit cards within the last 24 months, don’t try to apply for any of these cards, because there’s a high probability that you’re not going to get accepted, so that’s called the chase 5:24 rule, going back to the situation, so I booked this in advance.
So my coworker could go to Las Vegas on this business, but at the last minute, I had to take the place instead, so now I’m going to talk about what happened, when I need to call to change the reservation on the flight going to Las Vegas as well as the state which is Hotel Aria.
Let’s talk about the flight itself, so even though I went and I used my card to book the entire trip through chases platform to change the airline, I took time to call chase.
Eventually, the easiest way to make the flight change was to go to the airline to call the airline, in this situation, it was Alaska Airlines and for $125, you can switch out names, so that’s what I did. I decided to let them know the situation and to make it very easy, I paid $125 to switch out my co-workers’ name to my name, so that solved the airline situation.
Now I’m changing a name which on the reservation was the hotel, so with Chase, I called the number on the back of this card and they were able to help me with the hotel reservation a lot easier than the flight with the hotel reservation.
What they had to do was that they refunded the entire hotel State, so refunded my points back to my card and they rebooked it for the price of the day. I booked it the price of the day, I made the change at that time, because I booked this months in advance.
Now I’m making the change a few weeks before my trip, there was a $67 change of price, that’s $67, you’re going to need to pay for it, so I used my points to book that $67 different, so I hope that helps for anyone that might have to make a change to the reservation.
Once they’ve already booked it, already also something to point out, when I arrived at the Aria hole tell resort, there are these fees at most Las Vegas resorts which is a per day fee to use their pool per day fee to use their amenities, that does not include it, when you book your trip with Chase, you need to pay this fee separately, so I want to let you know those are the facts if you need to make a change to your reservation.
Once you book your flight and your hotel using chase, all the rewards now going back to my entire situation, when I got to the airport, I was excited, because I already own the chase Shaffer Reserve card, so this chase staffer reserve card also includes the priority, pass the priority, pass has three different levels, but because you are getting this pass for free, you get this Priority Pass.
So this allowed me to go into a lounge at Alaska, my return flight allowed me to go into one of the lounges in Las Vegas, so this was a nice part before my flight and also a nice perk, while I left Las Vegas, it gave me a second to unwind in a nice area so walls in Las Vegas, I was trying to methodically use both of my cards since this is a business trip, I want to make sure I put everything on this card, but something came to my attention on this trip.
I found out that for the entire trip, I was able to use the Chase Sapphire reserve card, he might ask why she didn’t use your business card on your business trip, it is because of the points I found out during this trip, I only need this card on the entire trip, because not only on food and dining, then I get three times the points, but on all travel related amenities.
For example, uber taxi upgrading my flight, I was able to use this card and maximize my point, so I’m going to go through some of my expenses, while I was in Las Vegas, so at the airport, I was hungry, so I went to Maude pizza, a great pizza place, three times the points BAM.
When I got to Las Vegas, I checked in to re-up and again everything was already booked and taken care of all the time the resort fees, so I got into my room, what should I do? Should I eat? It’s already late, I decided to take a taxi cab to one of my favorite restaurants on the strip, this Korean restaurant, so three times, the points, three times, the points, that taxi and finally to close off the night.
I had a quick drink at this nice bar called lift bar at the Aria, the next morning for my work-related trip, I took a taxi to the convention center for my event, three times the points, everything was finished that day, I took another taxi and I went back to my hotel, so closing out my first night there.
I saw this restaurant called harvest over at the Bellagio, so I took a Ober car over to the blog, you have to check out that restaurant while I was there to pay for it, I used my sapper reserve card again next morning, I went to the conference, had a cup of coffee three times, the points and to finish off the trip, I took a cab to the airport, so during this time at the airport, I took time, do we fly on what happened?
I spent three days in Vegas on my business trip and I had two cards, one card has an annual fee of 450 bucks, the other card which is my business card has an annual fee of $95, two different cards, one is a business card and one is a personal card, but walls in Vegas should be 99% of my transactions I used on my reserve card initially.
I use this card to book the reason why I’m going to keep this card and pay $95 on my Inc card is because of shipping, you have probably seen my previous videos Inc once a year, you can choose different categories where you can get maximum points, because I’m in the business of shipping.
I use this card to get maximum rewards on shipping, but now that I have this card in my wallet, I will use this card to book future trips, the reason why it is us at the beginning of the video, I talked about using this card initially to book using chases ultimate rewards website that only gave me 25% bonus.
But if I had this card at the time, but those 50,000 points would have been worth 750 dollars for using the exact same points, you would have received a hundred and twenty-five dollars more using this card, those hundred twenty-five bucks, you could have made a reign in Las Vegas bullet cards are different.
Both cards are used differently, don’t freak out with the four hundred and fifty dollar annual fee, you get initially every anniversary year $300 credit on travel, so what that means is anything related to travel, it can even be Boober eats, when you have Boober, bring food to your office, you will get that as an instantaneous credit up to $300 during your anniversary year.
I like both cards, I recommend both cards. I’m not going to close Amy’s card, so two thumbs up if you like my weekly Friday blog, make sure you like this video and subscribe here, see you in Las Vegas.
