I have to warn you about this Citibank card.
So I informed that I was going to do a world travel and don’t cancel my card. But it was one week before my travel starts, they canceled my card because they thought it was compromised. Then I asked them and they promised to send the card to me, but they send it to the Citibank back office, so I never get it. Then I called them again, and they told me that they are going to send it to my hotel in three days, but I waited for five days, and still no sign of the card because they wrote the address mistakenly.
There’s something else. Every time when I talk to them on the phone, they would ask about my personal information for an hour and then, they would put me on hold, and the connection got stopped. When you call back again, they change another person and you have to repeat it all over again.
So now I’m in Brazil, and there’s a Citibank near my hotel, then yesterday, I went there with all my documents because I need cash to pay stuff, so they kept me waiting for two hours, and called the Citibank in U.S. to figure out if I’m eligible to get my money out. Then they finally gave me a note and told to find the register whom I went to, and he kept me waiting for another 30 minutes and at last, he told me that I couldn’t take the money today.
So stay away from this bank because this is a scam and they do it on purpose.
