This is Wendy, I’m going to go over the digital coupon account for Dollar General for you. There’s a little bit of mixed information out there and people think that you can use a digital coupon with a regular manufacturer printed coupon, and this is only in some cases.
So we’re going to go over this. First, you need to have a dollar general account, not a regular account, but a digital account. They don’t overlap for some reason, so here’s dollar general.
DG digital coupons depending on which page you are on. The website will be probably somewhere else, but you need to click on the DG digital coupons and sign up with your information, and your phone number.
There are people out there claiming they have 3050 and more accounts to get the new coupons for new members or a great coupon. They don’t have that many phones. Whose numbers are you taking? They’re taking someone else’s phone number who may want to sign up for an account at some point.
Let’s move on, so you have your account now, what you need to do is that you have to go into your account into your digital coupons and you need to select which ones you may add to your account. This is ad, you see when you click over ad.
If you mouse over it, it says this is a manufacturer’s coupon, only one coupon printed digital or mobile may be used on a single item, which means you can not use that digital coupon with a printed coupon, you can use one or the other.
Other people claim that they don’t know this, but it’s right in the digital coupons. Once in a while, when you select a coupon, it pops up a block that says DG store coupon. If you had another coupon, you could stack with a manufacturer coupon.
You can have one dollar general coupon and one manufacturer coupon, but you cannot have one digital manufacturer and one paper manufacturer. I hope you can understand how that works.
Now there are other coupons that aren’t specific items. I’ve added some of these to my account. Let’s see if I can go to my coupons like this five dollars off of 20 school supplies or the $2 off of 6 on specific writing implements here, and you could stack with those.
You could use a manufacturer coupon, because it’s a dollar general store coupon, but you need to read the fine print or it shows details to see if it is compatible or stackable with other coupons. If it’s before or after your manufacturer’s coupons, some don’t say.
When it does say you need to be sure to follow that, you don’t end up with buying things that you didn’t want at that price. I did, however, although these are supposed to come off when you go to the register after you add it to your account.
You go to the register and you put in the phone number associated with that account. It is supposed to come off automatically. Sometimes they don’t work. I’m trying to find the one that didn’t work for me yesterday. Here it is Fabrice, I bought two of the illuminator.
Our luminaire shades some air freshener that were on the clearance. This particular coupon did not come off. Some stores might override for you. But most for me won’t, because they don’t have control over it. It has to work or it doesn’t work.
All you can do is to return it if you don’t want it at the price you purchased it without the coupon a lot of times. I’m purchasing something, because I have a coupon. So you have to make that decision and return it. They’re pretty good about it because it’s not your fault or their fault, it sometimes happens.
So to regroup here, you start out, make your account and add the coupons you want to use. At the register before, they hit total, that’s another thing. But they can always back out if you tell them you have digital coupons.
I don’t know hit the button to total it or whatever they do, they can always back out time. You want to use a digital coupon and you hit the little gray button on the PIN pad , which says something about digital coupons. I’m actually much for what it says, but says something about digital coupons you hit.
Then it tells you to put your phone number in, it is associated with your account. Your coupons should come off automatically. I hope this helps to clear up a little bit of misunderstandings about the digital coupon and I hope you have a great day shopping. Thanks a lot.
