Let’s begin with Emotional Health. At MHN, we know that your emotional well being is an important part of your overall health and quality of life. That’s why we’re here 24/7 to make sure you get the help you need when you need it.
The best time to call MHN is before a problem becomes serious, so keep MHN’s number handy. We’re standing by to help you with problems big and small.
Here are some examples: Relationship problems between couples, parents and children, even co-workers. Stress is a big one and many of us tend to ignore it, but stress can diminish your job performance, damage relationships and even lead to serious physical health issues.
Life changes: divorce, a new job, or a job loss, a big move, becoming a parent. These kinds of changes can cause major emotional upheaval. If you’re feeling depressed, know that you’re not alone.
Clinical depression is a disease and MHN is here to help in the assessment. If you’ve lost someone close to you or experienced other loss, we’re here to help you cope.
Uncontrolled anger can damage your personal and work relationships and have a negative impact on your health. MHN provides substance abuse assessments and referrals to treatment that can help you be clean and sober for life.
If you’re in an abusive relationship and don’t know where to turn, call MHN for guidance as soon as possible. When you call MHN for help with these or other emotional health issues, an experienced intake specialist will take your call.
Based on your needs, the specialist will either provide a referral to a counselor or consultant or connect you with one immediately. Your EAP brochure tells you what type of sessions you’re eligible for: telephonic consultations, face to face counseling or both.
The brochure also tells you how many sessions you’re entitled to receive. You can also find this information on the member website under My Benefits. Whether you’re speaking with a provider over the phone or in an office, you can rest assured that you’re getting expert help from a qualified professional.
MHN’s expansive provider network includes only experienced and independently licensed practitioners such as psychologists, clinical social workers, and other Masters level clinicians.

Also from the home page of the member website, you can find a counselor or other practitioner online. Look for the Find a Practitioner link in the upper right hand corner.
