Today I’m not even going to do a beauty related introduction, this is more of an advice pertaining to school and I’m doing this because I searched around while I was looking up for tips for this, but early I found zero information related to it. So today I’m going to give you some tips for Virtual School.
I take full time virtual school and I also know that in my County, you need to at least take one virtual school class to be able to graduate from high school,I take Florida Virtual School,it might be different in different states to take virtual school.
In virtual school, there are three keys to success, that’s pace, organization and communication. Those are the three subjects that I’m going to try to stay on top of throughout this. You need to keep on pace in your class to be able to receive full credit for all of your assignments and to avoid the anxiety of getting behind pace and to avoid getting dropped from the class completely. I may or may not have been way behind on my history class,I was threatened to be dropped from it and I freaked out.
In Florida Virtual School, they give us a pace chart for each course and for each segment which is equal to a semester, for the pace chart it shows how many assignments and what assignments you need to finish by the end of each week, this is literally the key to success in Florida Virtual School.
If you need to take anything from this, then you need to pay attention to your pace chart, your pace chart is going to be your best friend through virtual school. What I do is that I use my pace chart to space out my assignments throughout the week. I write on sticky notes on what assignments I’m going to do each day for each class since I do a full schedule of virtual school.
I have multiple different pace charts and instead of rummaging through each of them each day and figuring out what assignments I need to do,I always spaced them out because I don’t have to do an assignment for each class each day,it is not required of me. It’s nice to be able to space them out and do more assignments one day because I have dance to do and softball seasons are starting up,I have work and I have to do YouTube.
Another tip is to avoid subject binging. This is more towards people who have full schedules of virtual school. By using my sticky notes and writing out what assignments I’m going to do each day,I include assignments from each class each day,in that way I cam avoid doing five assignments from one class and only two assignments from a couple other classes.
Some supplies that keep me organized are my planner,my sticky notes,my paste charts and my colored pens. I have my classes color-coordinated so when I write down my assignments for each class,I write those down according to the color I assigned to that subject.
You need to organize your work that you’re going to do along with all of your other events and things you need to get done. If you are a part-time virtual school student and you have work, then you need to obviously schedule out work school in that virtual school.
What I do each day is that I roughly schedule out my days. What I do is that I schedule for myself to do an hour of school then I will focus on school for a whole hour. I will put my phone in the other corner of my room and I only have my computer with me and I have all my school supplies and I will go hard for school for an hour, then I will get myself 30-minute break and I do that on and off until my schoolwork is done.
Though I don’t overwhelm myself but I’m also paying attention and doing my schoolwork and getting what I need to get done. You need to pertain to your computer because that’s where you do your schoolwork,I definitely suggest organizing your schoolwork in your computer.
In my computer under documents,I have a school folder and I have each my subjects and that’s where I keep my work for my subjects,in that way I can easily find them if I need to work on them and I can easily turn the back in. You can print your assignments at work or keep them on a USB because if your computer crashes,if it has to get wiped for some reason,if it breaks and you can’t get your assignments that you are working on,you can get your notes that you are working on.
This has never happened to me but I think of it happening,I will hate life if that happen to me. I keep organizing on my computer by USB,I have a basket where all my notebooks and folders go,I have a planner and I also have a whiteboard where I keep my schedule and things to do.
Communication is a huge part of Virtual School since you do not have your teacher face to face with you,it saves all of your teachers contact information and your phone on your computer. If you get stuck on something,if you don’t understand something, that is obviously a very good idea to talk to your teachers, you can call them or text them and ask them questions. You can call them or shoot them an email if you need help.
In Florida Virtual School as well as other virtual schools,I’d like to believe they have live lessons and I have attended a lot of live lessons. First,I get teaching from my teacher and that obviously helps me and I can ask questions from other lessons as well. Second,we get assignments done in the live lesson, that’s nice because it takes two or three hours and I can finish my assignments.
It is very nice and calming,it gets things done faster. I also tend to learn more on the lesson or on the chapter what I want to attend a lot live lesson because I need to interact with my teacher,I can ask questions and I can receive help from other students,it’s nice to have the live lessons because it gives you a sense of a classroom rather than I’m sitting in my room alone doing my schoolwork. That is how to succeed in Virtual School .
