Description: The article is about focus manatee. The content will be shown by Dr. Diana Greene who is the superintendent of Manatee School, telling us that every school district needs a great leadership team and she strongly emphasizes the importance of the team.
Thank you for heading up the forward manatee campaign, but I didn’t need to add that, this board has made the decision, but the resolution without that, none of this would be possible, so my grandmother always told me, it’s not how you start the journey, how you finish it.
We finish passing this and we finished it for our over 6000 employees and 49,000 students, this is bigger than the superintendent, this is bigger than our board, this is about making sure, our community can be very proud of the school district and the school system that it supports each.
I want to thank Phil named a number of names, I do want to thank our early adopters Mr. Neal, we call dual owner, Dr. Loes fooled you, Diana, I didn’t think you could possibly win Kim French and Willis commands date ready, we had a number of organizations that stepped up and supported us the EDC came behind, thank you.
I’ve got all these people telling me Pat barber the MEA, all these businesses or organizations stepped up and decided that they wanted it to stand behind the school district of Manatee County, we have rebranded ourselves hashtag, we Manatee letting our community know that we can’t do it by ourselves.
It takes this entire community and that each and every person should be able to say I am the school district of Manatee County and it is that point that we can celebrate tonight, because we are all hashtag, we manatee and I have to give a special shout-out to Mr. Miner.
Mr. Miner, I think I went and put now 1,500 votes on, I call him on my way into work today on the side of the road waving and when I talked to him this evening, he was taking down those both BS signs and so we truly see him a debt of gratitude for the work that he put in to help this come to fruition.
So I am so excited, I sent an email message to all of our employees that probably got sent about 30 seconds ago and the last thing that I said to them is that I’ll see you at work tomorrow, we’re getting back to work tomorrow, thank you, every school district needs a great leadership team and many of them are in this room.
They don’t look for gratitude, they don’t look to someone giving them a hand, but these people, whether it was standing behind me, Dr. Greene, you can give them one more speech or they were out there giving a speech Doug or truly supporting whether they financially get to board manatee.
But it was our district leadership as well as our school based leadership grant Sanders is here representing our principals and assistant principals and we thank them for everything that they did to help make this come to fruition.
