Description: The following passage mainly focuses on global entry login. The author shares her experience when she applied for Global Entry. You should have your personal information readily available. It’s not an intimidating application.
My name is Elaine, today I’m going to be sharing with you my experience when I went through the Global Entry application process, when I was looking for information myself on the internet to refer to people’s real-life experiences when they applied, I didn’t find much information.
Since I got recently approved, I thought I’d share my experience with you, hopefully this will at least help one of you who are trying apply or maybe looking for information on Global Entry application, I’ll be sharing you where to go and when you apply, before I do that, I want to let you know that if you have any questions or comments, please leave it down below, I will do my best to answer all your questions.
If you find this article helpful or if you like it, please give it a thumbs up, that will let me know that you found it helpful, if you haven’t already done so, please subscribe to this channel, I plan to pull some more articles like this real life experiences, travel, business, lifestyle or stuff that I think would help people.
We’re going to Google the Global Entry application keywords, that should take you straight to one of these options, we’re going to select the one that says CBP.gov, it gives you some information on how to apply for Global Entry, but the gist of it is that you need to first create a TTP account which is a trusted traveler program account.
Regardless of age you must have your own TTP account, if you plan to apply for Global Entry for a child, you also need to submit a separate TTP account for that child, the fee is going to be non-refundable, it’s a hundred dollars, if you go through this process and unfortunately you don’t get approved, you will not get your $100 back.
Let’s click on this one, I’ve already gone through all of this, I won’t be able to create a new account, but I will walk you through how to get started, it’s very simple, it says to enroll in trusted traveler program to expedite your international travel.
You can read some more information, you would see the global entry, Nexus, Sentri and Fast, I don’t have much information on these other ones, today my focus is to give you information about Global Entry application, what you will do is to get started.
Read through all of this, then consent and continue, it shows you how the enrollment works, first you need to create that account, fill out your profile, then you work on the application, you pay the fee, you wait for that conditional approval, you will get an email once you are conditionally approved.
When you get that status change to conditionally approved, you can set up your interview, you can decide where you want to get interviewed and the date and the time as well, let’s hit continue, this is where you would go to create an account.
You would enter your email address, I am not going to do that because I already have an account, so I log in to my own account to show you what it looks like on the inside, I want to let you know that every single time you log in, it’s going to ask you for a security code, for me I asked for it to be sent to my mobile number, every single time you put in your email address and your password, it sends you a six digit security code to that cell phone number, then you enter that six digit code.
In my experience even if I’ve been using the same computer, there wasn’t any option that I found to set it up as to remember my computer and therefore I do not need security code, but I didn’t see that option, keep that cell phone handy every single time you login.
This is what it looks like once you’re in, this is your main dashboard, if you have an application in progress, it’s going to display here, I no longer have any application in progress since I have already been approved, it’s going to show in here that I’ve been approved.
I’m going to go over some of the information that it asked me during the time of my application process online, it asked me for some personal information, your date of birth, your address and all that information, it’s also going to ask you for your identifying characteristics like your eye color, your height and all that information.
You should have that information readily available, you should know all that stuff, it’s not an intimidating application, one thing that I would suggest that you have handy at the time of your application is your passport, it’s going to ask you for the day when the passport was issued, the expiration date, your passport number and all that stuff.
It also asked me for my addresses for the last five years as well as employment history, if you have changed jobs in the last five years, make sure that you have that information handy like a resume or whatnot, it’s going to ask you for the day information, the address and the phone number.
It’s also going to ask you for the countries that you’ve visited in the last five years, if you have that passport handy, you should be able to easily input all the information from your passport as far as countries that you’ve visited, it’s a very basic application, everything is done online, there’s nothing that you need to mail or fax to them, everything is electronically completed, so it’s a very seamless process if you follow all the instructions.
I hope that this article showed you as far as expediting or giving you more information on this process, if you have any questions or comments, please leave it down below, I will do my best to answer your questions, if you want me to make a follow-up about my interview process for this global entry, let me know in the comments down below, thank you.
