Description: This is a review on Ashford University which tells you what you will see and what you can do on the website of Ashford University after applying online.
We will give a review about Ashford University online, so I was skeptical when I first applied online. After you apply online, you may talk to an administrator over the phone, so that they talk you through everything. For example, they ask you plenty of questions. Besides, they also talk you through any documents that you may need to sign through email which you can sign through online.
All you do is to click and type your initials to make your signature. I was frustrated with all the paperwork that they have filled out every day. The first class was like an introduction, which was easy. There is a lot of typing because there are a lot of assignments that need to be done.
I’m in my second class on Week 4. The good thing is that you can plan it. What I do is I do one assignment every day in about half an hour to an hour. I’m working on schoolwork every day. You can wait till it’s due and do it on the day, but it all depends on you. You sign in to your dashboard to go to your courses. After clicking on your class, it gives you the whole breakdown of what you need to do for the week. As long as you get the assignments in on the day before it’s due, you’re good to go.
After you get past the questioning and the papers you need for fast buff, you’re applying for FAFSA. I just got my fast four award letter because I had a bunch of documents. I needed to send it because I got married and they needed my spouse’s tax refund to verify. So it all depends on what situation you’re in.
I was in the worst situation for documents, and I had a lot to fill out. Therefore, chances are you probably won’t have as many documents as me. There are quite a few, but it is worth it. In the end just stick with it, and don’t get frustrated. I think it’s a very easy process once you get accepted in and they’re not picky.
When I login to my schedule, it’s self-explanatory. Every week you have about one journal or two assignments. For example, this week there’s an assessment, and there might be one or two grammar quizzes which are multiple-choice open-book and you get three times to do the tests.
They call you every day, which the only annoying part. It is good if you need help. You can miss up to two questions on each test. There are about 10 to 15 questions I need to finish. There are at least one to two quizzes in each week and each class is 5 weeks. You only have to do one class at a time and it’s going to take me two and a half years doing it online, one class at a time.
They also give you an overview of each week, for example we’ve got an overview. Let’s start with Week 1, which gives you the course information. It breaks down the course guide, course syllabus, required resources, recommended resources, course grading and course calendar. You have an overview instructor guidance, and post your introduction chapter quiz discussion journal, grammar quiz and learning connections for every week.
There’s always going to be a lot to do on your first week because of the introduction and the instructor guidance and the overview to give you an idea of what the week is going to be like. You have posted a discussion that all your peers see and can reply, so you go to reply on two of your peers as well. You have about one to two quizzes each week and then you have a discussion where you all your peers see and you have to reply.
Also, each week after the first week of each class, there’s going to be two quizzes which will be a chapter quiz. Towards the end of the class of the week, there’ll be a grammar quiz, a chapter quiz, a grammar quiz, a discussion and one-to-two assignments for each week.
For each discussion that you have to post so that your peers can see. Those are the ones that you have to reply to two peers. To be honest with you, it seems like a lot when I tell you about all of it, but it really breaks down. It is not that bad. If you’re texting every day, you can definitely do this. It’ll be better than going to a real college.
When you are getting accepted in, there’s going to be a lot of documents at first. They want it through online and make sure you fill out your FAFSA before you apply at Ashford and it’s been great. The administrator is always calling you, who has been helpful.
I hope you get a little bit of information from this review and insight on what it’s like to be students at Ashford. Thanks for reading
