“Free” $250 w/ Wells Fargo Checking Account
Today I’m going to tell you how to get $250 for free from Wells Fargo with relatively little work.
They currently have a promotion going on, which is if you open every day checking account by March 24th, you get $250. All you have to do is to open it with at least $25, make 10 transactions in the first 60 days, by being eligible. You can’t work there, you can’t currently have an account and you can’t have gone the bonus in the last 12 months.
This offer is good for anyone, even if you currently have a Wells Fargo account. I know someone who actually closed their account in order to open it again in order to get the bonuses, because they never got a bonus from Wells Fargo ever before.
I would say it’s not good for people who either got burns by Wells Fargo or who have no trust at all. If you don’t want to touch them, I completely understand. Personally, I recently reopened it for the bonus, I’ve kept it because it’s been convenient. But if I hear anything they are doing or something they shouldn’t be doing again, I would close it, give it to their history, but I guess their team probably focuses on making sure nothing like that happens again.
From my perspective, it’s a very low risk of errors or issues to go on for the transactions to get the bonus. I looked at the grocery store and I had to buy a bunch of different items for dinner that night. So I went back five different time. Each time I asked them to do two transactions, I hit it in one day and I got the bonus in about two days. I’ve talked to someone who recently opened accounts because of the abundance. He got the bonus in two days. I think even the five-day-period is nice comparing to most other banking bonuses, which might take a while.
You could do something like Amazon’s or Amazon Prime’s, maybe a bunch of small Amazon Prime orders can take it to the extreme case. Before you go to the gas station, you buy ten candy bars, a dollar each, you waste ten dollars, then you still get $240. The account has a monthly service fee of $10 in the first two months, but it’s also easy to waive it. If you want to keep the account, which is ten transactions every month to waive it. $1,500 in the account is something you can do with most banking bonuses, but there is a provision that if you close the account early, they can either charge you a fee or claw back the whole bonus. If you want to test out Wells Fargo or if you want to open it, you realize in a month that this isn’t for you or it’s not convenient, you decide to close it, there is no early closing fees, which is great.
I’m not an advocate of Fargo, my goal of this channel is to help you find good deals, read through all the terms that you hate reading through and simplify for you, warn you about bad deals things that people think are awesome and lay out all the facts to you and help you figure out what makes sense for you by giving all the circumstances. So I hope this video is helpful and hopefully you get a free $250, I’d love to get your opinions, comment down below and follow up. I hope you like it, see you next time.
