Description: The following article is mainly introducing some information about ADP Time and Attendance Video Tutorial containing the ways to get ADP self service portal.
My name is Lindsay Crouse, view payroll administrator, I’m going to walk you through logging into ADP and some of the most common functions, please review the system and browser requirements for ATP’s version 9.1.
If you do not meet those requirements and receive login errors, a ticket should be submitted to our IT help desk, you will always log in as a user unless you have transitioned into a managerial role at which time you will log in as an administrator.
I will give you a couple of minutes to log in as a user, if you haven’t done in that time, notice the forgot your user ID and password link. If you have been locked out of your account, an error message will appear directing you to your system administrator, this can be bypassed by selecting forgot your user ID and password and follow the instructions to receive a temporary password.
You will be directed to your message center, logging in this provides information on system upgrades, PTO requests either pending or approved for your review to clear your inbox, you can select the top box to mark all messages for archive. Then select mark to remove them from your inbox, you will see three tabs at the top of your screen home resources.
We will go over each section starting with the Home tab from home, you can review our company news Quick Links forms, most importantly, my time for hourly non-exempt employees. You will need to clock in and out each day, including non-paid meal breaks, you can do all this from this section plus review your time card for each pay period by selecting my time card.
The resource tab includes the following company policies, where you can download the most employee handbook forms library for copies of federal state and direct deposit forms tools and helpful links and understanding your pay and how semi-monthly overtime is calculated.
Finally, myself tab under personal information and personal profile, you will find the following sections name, contact information, demographics address, the tax ID or social security number. And your emergency contacts sections marked self-service can be updated by clicking on the pencil icon to update and submit for approval sections. Self-service can only be updated by sending a request to HR at alt or com the employee.
And time position section will show your current position title manager’s name, position, start date, location and Home Department under pay. You will find annual statements that will list your w-2 forms and will remain online for three years, you will also see your pay statements that can be viewed by clicking on view check, as you navigate to the next section and its subcategories.
You will notice a question mark and play button next to its title, clicking on the question mark will display step-by-step PDF instructions or the play button for tutorials under time and attendance, then my time entry. You will find your time recording buttons as previously mentioned on the Home tab. please review section five point four through five point seven in the employee handbook for timekeeping policies, including meal breaks rest periods and overtime to clock in for the day.
You will want to select clock in a confirmation screen will appear to either OK, or cancel this entry. Once completed, a successful green banner message will appear at the top of your screen. When you are clocking out for lunch, you will select lunch out ; when you return from lunch, you will select clock in ; and finally when leaving for the day, you will select clock out to review your time card, select my time card, then confirm that the first drop-down box is selected for current pay period.
You will notice on the time card example that there are several missing in-and-out punches, there is also a missing lunch punch on Friday, March 11th, any Corrections will need to be submitted to your manager for adjustments. It is very important that you confirm all time has been recorded accurately on your time card prior to the end of the pay period, any adjustments sent to your manager for Corrections will need to be completed by 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time by the due date adjustments are changes submitted.
After the deadline will not be processed as a manual check, but will be added to your pay on the following paper yyd to confirm your total hours to be paid on that current pay period. Click on the totals tab, you can also select the specific earnings code to break it down day by day. You also have the ability to view up to 12 months worth of data by viewing your annual summary to get to the screen, you will select myself time and attendance and annual summary by placing your cursor on a particular date.
You can view the number of hours worked and paid for each earning type outdoor, provides the following paid holidays to its regular full-time and regular part-time employees to view this list, and ADP go to myself time and attendance and holiday lists. To read more about the holiday policies, please reference section 6.7 in our employee handbook to request time off.
Go to myself time off request time off within the calendar, select the dates you wish to take off, then select the blue request time off button and verify the dates populated. If the date selected need to be modified, you can click on either change reoccurrence to set up a repeating pattern or edit each day individually for each day.
You will need to select the correct policy type number of hours and the start time, the start time is when the p2 hours will take place. If you come into the office at 8 a.m. and wish to take half the day off starting at 12:00 noon, you would enter 12 p.m. in the starting time sections, an optional comment can be entered for your manager to take into consideration during the review process, and finally the respond by field.
This is letting your manager know and be reminded by the system to review the request by the selected date, finally click Submit, confirmation will be sent to your Outlook email, notifying you that it has been sent to your manager for review, notice that you can also view your time off balance on the top right hand section of the request to confirm your PTO balance for a specific date you wish to request.
Enter the date in the balance as of section for an updated balance, a more detailed look at your PTO balance can be viewed by going to myself time off and time off balance. The first screen will give you a summary of your policies, click on the policy, you wish to view in more detail from here, your balance will be broken down into categories, carry over the amount carried over from the previous year earned time off amount earned after 1/1 t.
These amounts will be awarded on the 15th and the last day of each month taken total time off amount taken as of 1/1, and the balance as of date selected balance. The sum of all transactions specified in the time off groups, you can click on each section to view in more detail or change the date for updated balance.
