Description: The article mentions that the author wants to cover broward focus and special grades in the grade book for assignments, he created before entering some normal point values.
This lesson is going to cover special grades, I can enter in my grade book for the assignment that I created before I’ve entered some normal point values, the other options that I have our first and M which converts to a missing notice.
An M will count against the students, final grade the same way as zero would make difference between an M, it indicates that for the parents, this student has not turned in his work versus he got zero of the questions correct.
I can also enter in X which means the assignment is excluded from counting for or against the student, so an X will not affect the student’s grade, I can also leave the score blank, if the student hasn’t turned in the work yet or I haven’t graded it, that is also the same, as the X is not going to count for or against the student the difference between the x and the blank.
I’ve explicitly said the student does not have to turn in the work and also it indicates to me that I don’t have to grade it at the end of the grading period, when I post grades, focus will require that you enter something into these either in xa0 or an M at the end of the grading period if I want to fill all of my blanks, I can click the eye icon, put in a 0 or I could put in a 10 for full credit, hit save and it will convert all my blanks to zeroes, this sends our lessons on special points.
