Description: The following article primarily wants to indicate us some types of programs with different styles for students to join in order to get DCPS focus login.
Today we’re at Burns elementary school with speech pathologist mark and whistle, you use that working with your children in your speech pathology, I use it almost every day, my students ask for it, they know that I have the UH there for a while, they didn’t know about it.
But now that they know they want to use the technology and they’re a lot more engaged, why don’t you show us what you do with your students.
I was able to purchase two different types of programs, one is called jiggly and that was more aware that on preschool based students and it is for shapes and colors, I can use it for following directions.
I found more things to do with it, once I got it and was able to pull with it, because there are quite a few apps that are on the ipad. I was able to find different things to work with my different students, because many of them have different goals based on their sleeping needs.
I can use it with my articulation with the words and the final consonants, then I can also use it with my language skills where they need to follow directions in different types of language.
I was able to purchase a new i pad air 2 logo, it’s so exciting, I am impressed by it and imagine the kids great new technology, so for this option, they follow the monster, they’re able to draw whatever he tells them.
I use that for calling directions and the children are able to describe to me about what they grew, they think it’s magic and I finally figured it out, I like to think it’s magic too, but it pops up on the screen.
They’re able to see exactly what they drew, come to life on the screen and it goes through a story, so the students are able to use their imagination, predicting skills, inferring a lot of different language skills through that, because they’re also very engaged, they think they’re making their own stories.
What else do you have? I haven’t used them, it’s called the pizza company through cosmo and there are different pieces of the pizza and you have the toppings on the screen, it will come up to where they tell you what kind of pizza you have to make.
For my students, they do matching what is exactly on the screen and then match the following direction skills of going through the process of making the pizza, they have to tell me what they’re doing and what’s happening on the screen as wel.
It can go further to math skills, because they tell you how much the pizza costs, so you have to give them the change, they’re learning number skills, math skills, many real-life situations and they all love pizza.
I would work out to get the policies as well, there is a shape on the screen and you have to place the shapes together to make the picture on the screen, they enjoy that, because they get to guess what the picture is going to be and we have to tell what part of the animal or the object is.
I’m working up to that with my higher level student, but they’re more at picture level, so I haven’t opened up that one as much, but I played around with it a little bit, because it’s exciting for me too.
