Description: This is an introduction article of Front Row software which is used in classroom teaching. The software has several features to help teachers to manage their work. Checking how students are performing can use Report Card tab, Printable tab, and Feed View Tab.
Welcome to the new front row teacher dashboard. Using the report card tab, teachers have an access to standards-based report cards for every student. Click on the grade level you teach, and watch as the standards are automatically updated to reflect mastery, tentative mastery and standards where students haven’t begun working towards mastery. This feature provides a great resource for parents and can easily be printed and sent home.
The next feature is Printable. With the click of one button, teachers can create individualized prints for every student in the class all tailored to the appropriate level. Or you may want your entire class to work together on the same printable. If so, select the standard that you’re working on and click generate PDF.This feature is perfect for printed homework or for use in schools that share iPads or computers across different classrooms.
The feed view allows teachers to see the last week’s front row usage in their class, wondering which of your students completed the practice you assigned for homework last night, and looking to reward students for their hard work during class. This feature lets you know when each of your students used front-row, how many questions they answered, their overall percentage correct and which specific standards they were working on. It’s a spectacular tool to use when checking on student progress and student work ethic.
The analysis feature provides a wealth of data for the teacher to be curious abouit how your students performed on standard 3nf to A. Select it from the drop-down menu, and click Add in, one quick look, you can see how well your students know the standard and can make an informed decision as to whether you should move forward to the standard or simply pull a small group for review.
If you want to compare your class’s performance on 3nfto A to an NBT standard you taught earlier in the year, simply select the standard and click Add, you have aside-by-side comparison of the standards. This feature helps the teacher to determine which of his or her lessons led to mastery allowing that teacher to design lessons more likely to reach and teach the entire class.
With all of the data available through front row, sometimes you might want to know the overall math level of a student. The grade level tab combines all data available to determine the current grade level equivalent of a student. It is important to note that in order to get the most accurate level, students should be given ample time to work on all domains.
We look forward to ensuring your students to continue to receive the best math education possible and can’t wait to hear your stories of growth and success.
