Wizards Of The Coast In Talks With Gamestop To Host Tournaments And Events Gamestop Credit Card Login

July 25, 2018

Description: The article is about gamestop credit card login. The article covers on that Wizards of the coast or some part of their company has been in conversations with game stop. The author also gives his views on the positive and negative sides of the game stop.

I had a first estranged message from a patron. He had a conversation with some gamestop store owners. I thought it was worthy of a very different article. Before we get too far into it,long story short for those of you without any attention span. Apparently Wizards of the coast or some part of their company has been in conversations with game stop. Talks become almost sanctioned events or almost LGS stores but in game stops.

At first when I first heard about this I thought it was a little bit of a reach. I didn’t believe it I was very skeptical. Then I reached out to it. A friend of mine owns a couple game stops in Florida. They weren’t willing to discuss much of it. They were acknowledged. I got confirmation that at least the talks is a real thing. how far along is it going through or what’s going to happen I have no idea.

I find the most fascinating is I want to talk about the pros or cons and I also want to schools upfront that. I do not like Game Stop. I had very poor experience as many years ago when I was interested in buying games and consoles and different things. It is probably about five to eight years ago. I don’t go to any of the game stores. I went to game stop once about six months ago when they were running those clearance for magic.

I would buy magic booster packs for 99 cents. There is closed room behind conversation, where wizards and Game Stop corporate people and discuss how they would go about. It is about turning some Game Stop’s into a local game store. They want to be approved to host sanctioned events for Magic the Gathering in Pokemon Trading Cards. Other things down the road such as the yugioh force will. The first thing is I have two very split reactions on a topic like this. I have a feeling that people are going to care about feeling. A lot of people are going to be very inquisitive about this. I haven’t been able to find the information online about it.

The first thing is disclosure. I hate the way Game Stop is in the current state. I don’t like the way the corporate conglomerate pushes the local level employees to presale and get deposits and push sales and almost like a commission basis while most of them don’t get commission. If they don’t push certain numbers they can get fired for not having good Commission numbers although not getting Commission. It’s very complicated.

That’s the first thing I do not like. I don’t like having employees when I go to a game store or a card store. They have these corporate trained that they are going to push people and buyers to do certain things. That are the highest margin of profit at the expense of kids and teenagers and parents. A lot of people don’t like Game Stop because they don’t like the idea that you buy a 60 hour game you can trade it in next week for ten dollars and they sell it for 49 instead of 60 used. There are a lot of issues like that. My biggest thing is when it comes to magic what this can cause.

The positive thing is if magic goes through or Wizards goes through a game stop on doing a test market with a couple GameStop stores,it becomes an LG s store. The positive thing I can see is it going to introduce more people to Magic. They gathering in car games in general that have probably never played or handle a trading card. I don’t think there’s any way to negatively speak about getting new people to start playing magic or being introduced to the game. I think that’s the only topic everyone can agree on that. It would be positive.

We can get new people to play the game or attempt to learn the rules or know what it is. It is a net positive thing for all trading card games. A lot of people are going to feel them by taking a corporate monster like Game Stop which is having a lot of restructuring issues. They’ve been trying cell phones accessories they’ve been trying to branch off in different categories because of the movement of the game world into the digital download and non brick-and-mortar direction.

Their corporate overlords are very well aware of that and they’re very concerned with a direction. Therefore they’re doing a lot of testing with different stores around the country, trying a lot of different markets and business models. They tried the retro game model a while back ago. I heard it was doing terrible. The positive thing is new magic players. Besides that I can’t think of any other positive attributes that this would bring. I already know the comments sections there are going to be people saying great.

We need more downward pressure on a local game store from a monster such as game stop with their pricing power carrying more products in hosting FM’s and doing sanctioned events. I don’t know how it would unfold. I don’t think anybody does. I think it’s a concerning direction. I’m leaning towards it. I don’t agree with the idea but I think Wizards is going to do it. I think there’s going to be test stores around the country.

If it goes over they’re probably going to expand that business model with GameStop stores. My number one reason behind it is with the closing of Toys RUS in the retail restructuring environment where retail brick-and-mortar is almost laughable. I don’t think there are much of a choice for someone like Hasbro that owns a bunch of brands and toys and board games and card games.

I don’t think a conglomerate has much of a direction especially after losing a Toys RUS monster. At this point Hasbro and a lot of other distributors picked up all the magic cards of Pokemon from Toys R Us locations. They were reboxed in return and not fire sold at Toys RUS clearance sells before they were closed. So they didn’t want the product to be fire sold because they picked it back up to almost redistribute the distributed product.

But the negative thing is I’m trying to picture an era where game stuff has tables in it. There can be chairs and a bunch of kids and teenagers and adults and parents playing in a sanctioned event and there’s a level one or two judge there. I’m trying to picture it. I don’t know about you all around the country and I love to see everyone’s comments about what your game stuff is like near you.

But at least for me in Central Florida North Florida South II,the north in the Orlando to Jacksonville Florida Gainesville area, most game stops are rough. They’re dirty. They’re poorly ran. They have no idea. We have zero. Their inventory is a joke because of theft and problems and employees and poor management. They’re rough places at least the one I’ve been to is. I’m sure some are very nice maybe I haven’t experienced it.

I don’t know how that’s going to be a positive thing for magic. I don’t know how that feel. At least I am aware of how I visualize GameStop stores to look. It’s going to give a positive light to trading cards. You walk into these stores and some employees start pushing you to do this or that or they are going to start having single cards. I was say from the Volt but I guess it doesn’t exist.

Are they going to have spell books and master sets in Game Stop and in addition to the Walmart and Target. I know some people are going to say Bertie are replacing Toys RUS with a Gamestop. I don’t know I don’t feel very good about it. I feel like there’s going to be a lot of local game stores that are going to take a beating on the Friday Night Magic. Local game stores and magic stores are more of a 7-eleven gas station nowadays than they are a card store.

The most common thing is we make our money by selling these Little Debbie snacks over here. We sell 48 different kinds of energy drinks to make sure they’re all the worst versions to make sure all our players consume them. They want to push snacks and drinks. If game stops doing that and there are more of them. They’re in better locations more prime real estate. It seems like it’s going to put more real game stores real as LGS stores. It’s going to close their doors.

I don’t think there’s going to be a net positive. If you’re putting local game stores out of business but you’re replacing it with a local game store known as the local gamestop store, how is replacing the LGS with a corporate LGS,how would that help more players join the game besides getting people who play games to walk in the store and be exposed to it. They wouldn’t normally walk into a card store.

So I want to at least write this article because I didn’t believe it. I’m still very skeptical of it. But the talks are real. I don’t know how far along they are. I don’t know if it’s going to go through. There are talks with a company like Game Stop which I don’t want to use the term despise.

They’re a terrible company for what they stand for him the game world of 2018 and how their sales and what their metrics are about talking to these employees who’ve worked there in the way the owners of certain stores and franchises and companies the way they work,I don’t like it. I was a huge fan of the 90s. I was a huge fan of Electronics Boutique which eventually became EB Games which eventually dissolved and merged or bought out the details were into the GameStop conglomerate.

I’m concerned how this would affect things. Wizards pushing more towards the digital arena direction and we see the paper trading card game. New sales are very weak. Hopefully diamond area is supposed to be a powerhouse which everyone agrees and even I agree should help.

You’re working with a Gamestop versus helping an game stores that are to 3,000 LG s around the country that are already in business. They are trying to do the best they can and get the best support they can from wizard stuff to host tournaments or F&M or to represent their game in a nice environment.

I don’t see why they continue to choose to turn their back on that while trying to turn a corporate local game stop store into the new LGS versus trying to help the current ones. It’s almost like they’re embarrassed of the current model or they know it’s outdated. or maybe they don’t like the margins it brings or maybe they don’t like the people. I don’t know but that’s all I have for this article.

It is been a long time since we’ve had a real talk. I know some of you appreciate it. I get patrons and other comments that they want Rudy to do more real talks. They’re very carefully orchestrated. A lot of people like real conversation sometimes without all the fun Rudy animations. A lot of people connect to the conversation with a real Rudy conversation.
