Description: This passage is mainly about nest cam login. In this passage, the writer tells us how to use Nest thermostat 3rd generation and introduces the settings and features of the Nest itself.
You can follow on my previous article on how to install the Nest Learning Thermostat, I think I’d show you a quick rundown of all the settings and features of the Nest itself, obviously one of the main functions of the nest thermostat is that being able to control the temperature up and down, that’s done by turning the dial.
So the reality is at the moment to send in and 1/2 degrees, the actual temperature in the room is 19, you can turn this up or down, and if you turn it past the temperature, it is at the moment saying 221 degrees and the screen goes orange, this means that the boiler is working and sending heat to the radiators, so you can turn that back down, now turn to boiler off.
There is a sector 17 to half degrees, the room temperature is still 19, one of the main features that improve the third-generation nest thermostat of the earlier models is the fact that this has Farsight the far side, it means that as you approach the thermostat or as you pass by, it will show you a function on the screen.
In my case I’ve got it set to the current temperature, so as I approach the thermostat or as I walk past, I’m about two meters away now, it shows me that the room is at nineteen and a half degrees, you can set this to show you other functions, and I’ll show you that in the setting menu, because you get a little closer to the thermostat.
Now I’m about half a meter away, it changes, so it shows you what you’ve got the heater set to which at the moment is 17, and the temperature in the room is our engaged side, which is nineteen and a half.
I am going to run through a few of the features on the nest itself, so it’s going to the menu, you click it, and then you’re presented with this turning the dial around the outside, I’ll go through all the different menus, this main screen shows you the weather today, and the episode temperature, the date, the time, the temperature in the room and the humidity in the room.
We’ll take you back to the main screen, so go into the setting menu, click the screen, and you will be presented with a few different options, you’ve got the lock function, if you want a lot the thermostat stop, you play with it, go through the options, use the dial, let’s do not lock, because we don’t want to lock it.
We have got the Eco function which is the temperature that it is set to, while you’re away from the house at the moment, it is set to 17, we click the screen, we can change that up and down, but we’ll leave it as 17, click it and then go across, this is the home-away assist function, you can use Eco.
So then this shows you a few other things that nest sense has, you have got some Block in case of the thermostats in direct sunlight, and you’ve got the leaf, it tells you whether you throw in the leaf or not, so move on, pick up brightness, you can set that soup to different ones, I usually have it on auto which is that one.
But you can’t see that if you are low, so you can see it on the video, and you’ve got display which is the most interesting setting, I suppose where you can change Farsight or whether you even use fire site or not, so you can either have fire site set to the target temperature, you can have it set to the current temperature of the room.
I have it set to an analog clock, I have a set to a digital clock, or you can have the weather, I find the current temperature the most useful, and I’ve never set this, I don’t use Farsight function, perhaps if it is in a busy area, in the room while you’re at, it nears where you are sitting, you might want to wake it on pressing or on approach.
You can turn the click on and off, but it doesn’t annoy me, so I leave that on, you can change the temperature from Fahrenheit to Centigrade, you can click on that or change that from one to the other, that’s where it is in the living room, who would install the thermostat in the backyard? I don’t know.
The next thing is that we will show you is my own personal setting, here is language, obviously you can set the different languages, the equipment that is working with in this case can’t be boiler with heat on and off, then Nest Pro is more for the professional installer, you have to have an official ID to get the technical information, you don’t even need to do that.
A match tells you the battery, it tells you how much power is, it tells you all different technical settings on each piece legal information, you need to see that and a reset band to set it back to where it is whenever you’re done.
Let’s go back there, and you’re done, so go back into the menu, now that’s a setting menu, then click the schedule manual there, we’ll go straight to where you are now at this moment, we’ll press the screen and click done.
I’ll do another article to show you how to set the schedule on both the apps, and the next thing is an interesting function which shows you energy that you’ve used, so yesterday on Friday the 13th, I used five hours worth of energy, you go back through the days, you click that, it’ll take you in.
I’ll show you exactly when the heating is on, it tells you their manual adjustments resulted in energy usage above the weekly average, and that is because I am at home working, and it will every day show you exactly when it is on, and scroll to there and it ends.
We’ll go back into the menu, the energy is to be able to turn on and off, so for example, in the summer when it’s no longer needed, turn it off there, and there’s always off, it’s non-eco, so that’s a way manually but you can do that via the app as well, and then heat or keep it.
I think our jobs are good, if you’ve got any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the box below, and we’ll get back to you, if you like the article or you find it useful, then please give it a thumbs up, I’m going to do a lot more articles this year, so please subscribe.
