Description: The article is intended to talk about something related to the topic of playstation vue login. We will be shown the details of Best Streaming TV Providers including Sling TV, DIRECTV, Playstation Vue and Fubo TV, we may find the programs we can see and the services that will be provided on it.
Now it seems to be at reviews organization especially on our YouTube channel, we talk all the time about streaming TV providers, we’ve done a lot of videos on these providers, however, it’s the beginning of 2018 now.
So we figured now, it is a good time to make sure that we have the proper lay of the land for 2018, so I’m bringing in our new writer, Kyle, who is looking at all these things fresh to see what he has to say about all these providers.
Let’s look at the best streaming TV providers for 2018, Kyle, hit me with it, who’s your favorite out of the gate, sling TV, I think I have two favorites, but we’ll get to that in a moment, but I like sling, why do you like them?
It’s cheap, you’re a great interview, it’s the epitome of what cord cutting is to me which is saving a whole lot of money on TV, but still being able to get those essential channels that you want, so it is cheap, we know it is 20 bucks a month, nothing changed there.
There are three packages, there’s the orange which is your base, the blue which is your next tier and then the orange plus blue very cleverly named right orange plus blue, it is twenty, thirty, forty a month for those, so you would say, because it’s a bargain, it’s all about the bargain for you, you say stick with the orange.
But they do have a low channel count, so you’re only getting it, it’s twenty five channels tops with that orange package, but the cool thing about sling is that you can add on your different ala carte packages.
So if you want a little bit more sports channels or entertainment channels, movie channels, you start at that base price $20 and then you add on from there, so there are more expensive services out there, especially PlayStation View, it starts pricey and goes from there, Direct TV.
It now doesn’t start too pricey, but it can climb quickly, so sling can do the same thing, if you let it or if you want it to and this is where I like sling, where you can start with that $20 base package and then I love French cinema, obviously, I love French cinema and you can add that on there their french package, I love sports, you can add their sports package on there.
So the sling package can get expensive quickly, but it’s your choice whether it does or not and so you’re not tied to that. I want ESPN, so I have to upgrade to this next level package to get that and you get a whole bunch of channels that maybe you don’t want to come with us.
You’re paying for all of that extra stuff, you get to customize it yourself which is nice, so tell me about DIRECTV now, this is my other favorites, what do you like? What he disliked about DIRECTV is that it’s got some good bargain prices on your premium movie channels.
So if you’re looking at HBO cinematic stars, all those kinds of things, you get HBO for only five dollars a month on top of your entry price or whatever your package price is.
So that’s better than HBO itself offers, you’re not going to find a better movie channel price or a premium movie channel, then DirecTV now, so that’s the big main thing for me and the big downside to it are two things.
If you get much higher than the base 35 love or $35 entry price, it starts to be quite as worth it, because you’re getting into that range of it, this is what I’d be paying for the DirecTV satellite service.
They don’t have a cloud DVR, they keep advertising that they’re going to have cloud DVR services and it still hasn’t mounts effectively, I know you’re going to see this, we’ve been waiting a long time, we’re very excited about the cloud DVR, sick of waiting around.
But honestly, it’s a kicker, it’s an awesome service, I can get these premium movie channels, I can watch a bunch of sports or whatever, but I can’t record anything, so it’s one of those tipping points.
As far as cloud DVR, let’s go back for a second to sling, sling does have a cloud DVR, it has its own limitations and strengths as well, correct me if I’m wrong, five bucks a month, 50 hours of storage and you cannot record Disney, cannot record Disney or ESPN basically check any Disney entity ESPN or Disney Channel stuff free form ABC cannot.
So that is a bummer, that threw me off, when I first tried their DVR, I’m sorry, now go back to DirecTV, because I do want to talk about them, what I recently learned was that they’ve had a deal for a long time for AT&T, unlimited mobile customers, because it’s owned by AT&T.
If you are an AT&T, Mobile customer and you have an unlimited plan, you can get DIRECTV now for it used to be 25 bucks off every month, so if you’re on the lower tier, you’re getting DirecTV now for 10 bucks a month.
That is pretty, it’s a killer deal now, they reduced that to 15 bucks a month off, so it’s a little bit less of an awesome deal, however, we’re going from 35 in the base package down to 20 which matches slings.
But you have a much bigger channel count, so if you are an 18 t-mobile customer with unlimited data, that’s probably the better, that’s huge selling definitely your best bet, so tell me about Fubon.
Let’s move on to FUBU, what do you like? What he disliked about FUBU is that it’s like the DirecTV satellite of cord cutting, because it’s all about sports, that’s what it is, they focus on especially international sports.
So if you’re big soccer fan, if you’re watching La Liga or anything like that, this is where you want to be, because you’re going to get all access to sports channels, different soccer channels and then the other cool thing is that they cater spanish-language in Portuguese language.
They have packages of those, it probably has the best cloud DVR, you get 30, I think it’s 30 hours of free storage, waste any band, then you can upgrade to 500 hours for 10 bucks a month, so big ugly hill they catch.
If I recall correctly the catch on that one, your DVR recordings expire after seven days, I think seven to nine days, you can’t keep it forever, like you could with no services, it’s not full on DVR, you would get with an Xfinity or a DirecTV, it’s a cloud-based service.
But even having that recording option and especially having that many hours worth, it puts it above, so if I’m not a sports fan, if I’m especially soccer, Bo’s big thing is watching soccer.
If I’m not a huge soccer fan, would you recommend football for anybody else? Probably not. I mean if you’re not big into sports or if you’re not looking specifically for Spanish language or Portuguese language entertainment, probably not, you’re probably better with sling or someone else.
The last one on the list is Playstation for you, that’s our other big one, what do you like? What do you dislike? The cool thing about Playstation view is that it looks and feels the most like a cable or satellite service, so you’re not going to have that same jarring experience.
If you’re canceling Xfinity or DirecTV or whatever, you’re jumping over a Playstation view, it feels like TV, but it is pricier than the other cord cutting options, if you’re paying almost as much as you’d be paying for regular satellite or regular cable, I think it starts at 45 bucks a month.
It goes all the way up into $80 tiers, so it’s quite pricey, but it does come with a lot of content, you get a lot of channels, the big downside to PlayStation view is that they have a restriction on your IP address, so only you can sign in from your in-home network.
So if we want to have a watch party of some sort, we want to watch Game of Thrones or something like that, sign in at your buddy’s house, you can’t do that, because it’ll restrict your access, it’s too bad, that’s interesting.
So of these four what I’m hearing is if you want a TV experience that you’re used to and you don’t mind paying a little bit, you go PlayStation View as I recall, they have great picture quality, but you’re going to be paying for it.
One thing to note on PlayStation view is that you don’t need a PlayStation console to have it, you can do it on your rope, you can have it on your Roku or your Apple TV, are they rebranded? So they’re something like that, because the marketing on it is confusing.
The first question we get is that can I get PlayStation view if I don’t have a Playstation? You can do that if you want sports, if you want international sports, if you are a Spanish speaker or a Portuguese speaker, those things would say go to FUBU and then my two favorites sling and DirecTV.
If you’re a bargain hunter, go with sling, if you are bargain hunting for premium channels, go with DIRECTV now and that’s one of the reasons, they’re my other faith especially if you’re in AT&T, Mobile customer, but even if you’re not and I’m not, I don’t use AT&T Mobile.
But DirecTV now is appealing to me, because I love watching the shows on HBO and stars and getting those sheep is a big drop. I was at five bucks a month for HBO is unbeatable, so sling for bargain hunters, I think that’s about it, anything else you want to add to any of those.
I think that covers that sling is our overall pick, because we’re focusing more on that cord cutting, I think cutting the cost is what most likely, what people are looking for cord cutting, so that’s what makes sense to me.
