Description: The following article is designed to talk about showtimeanytime activate. The author teaches you how to watch Showtime Anytime on a Mac OS X Computer using Google Chrome. The method is a legal way and it is helpful.
This is Anson from AnsonAlex.com. I’m excited about this article. Today I want to talk about how to watch Showtime on your Mac OSX computer. My girlfriend and I were having a lot of problems doing this. I searched on a bunch of different forums. Everybody gets the conclusion that it can’t be done. I accepted that for a little bit.
However, I am a technology person. I did a little more troubleshooting help for my girlfriend. We figured it out for a lot of you. When you go to Showtime, you have to have a Showtime account. You have to have a subscription. I’m not showing you anything illegal here about how to watch Showtime without a subscription. If you’re looking for that, you’re not going to find it on my channel.
This is a legal way of watching Showtime. It doesn’t work on Mac so we tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari. None of them works for watching Showtime. What would happen is that we are logged in and we will go ahead. We click play and it seems that it was playing but the screen will go blank.
This is on a different computer where we were doing this. We don’t get any message. You’ll see that on my screen. I get a message saying that I need to install a video plugin called Widevine. That plugin is made by Google. That’s the long story. If you want to install this plug-in, you need to go to tools Google.com and slash DL page then slash Widevine. You can find this optimizer and you can install it. After that, you’ll be able to watch Showtime.
Here’s the big problem on my computer. I get this pop-up telling me I need it but that’s easy on my girlfriend’s MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7. She doesn’t get this pop-up. The reason is that she already had Widevine installed but it wasn’t updated. She will get a message saying that she needs to update Widevine.
If you have that problem, you can go ahead. If you’re not getting any message, you definitely need to update Widevine. It is simple. I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to install it quickly. I’ll show you how you can update it. If you have that problem and if you’re getting the pop-up message to update Widevine, that’s the easiest way to update it.
If you’re not getting that message you can either uninstall it and reinstall it. The second one will ask me to close out Google Chrome. I’m going to do that. We’re going to finish installing Widevine. I think it will ask me to close out Google Chrome. I get a double click on this and open that up. You can see what I’m working with on my computer. I get a sneak peek into the AnsonAlex work account for AnsonAlex.com. It’s asking me to close Chrome so I’m going to go ahead.
I’m going to quit out of Google Chrome. It says install completed. If I go back into Google Chrome and I go to showtimeintime.com, it’s cool that I can be logged in. Let’s see if I’m already logged in here. I’ll login for you quickly. I’m not logged in so I’m going to cut to when I am logged in. I’m finishing the login process now.
If I click to watch any show, I have Showtime much for Dexter. We can take a look at ray Donovan. I don’t get that pop-up and my show starts to play. I obviously can’t play any of that for you here on YouTube. That would be illegal.
This is hopefully helping out show time by showing their users how they can watch their content on their computer now. If you have Wi-Fi installed already, you need to update it. If you’re not getting that pop-up to update it, I would go ahead and delete it. You can go ahead and use spotlight search for Widevine. Delete it off your computer and reinstall it. You will be off and watching Showtime on your Mac OSX computer.
The people who said you can’t do it are wrong. We are right. We figured it out. That’s all I have for you today. It’s Anson from AnsonAlex.com. If it is helpful, give me a thumbs up. If you want to see more technology tips and tutorials, go ahead and subscribe to my channel.
