Sodexo Campus Services provides 1.3 million meals every day and we employ over 49,000 people in North America, we all work in food service, but our focus is on providing customers with an awesome dining experience that doesn’t happen on medically.
It happens because each employee chooses to make it happen in Dining Services, this shows our commitment to the customers, there are 11 simple things our customers expect, we call this the Sodexo experience and each of us can deliver it every time.
We are at work. I like to be greeted by somebody who knows my name. I’ve always been really welcomed by the staff, they’re always like oh, hi, how are you. I’ve never had an issue with any order regardless of where I went being wrong.
I’ve actually had a lot of times where I found more than I expected, even if there’s a lot of people in here, they’re getting people out quickly cycling them through especially on the changeovers of classes which can be tough.
It’s great to have the managers on the floor circling the area working with their employees working with you as customers and being able to you know talk to you and ask you how your dining experience is going the customer expectations can’t be met unless all of our team is working together and that’s what the Sodexo experience is about identifying and acknowledging the things that we do together that make a difference every day for our customers, so the CEREC experience is about giving the best customer service to our clients and at the same time recognizing our employees for giving that great customer service.
It’s not hard to participate in the Sodexo experience, there are four tips to keep in mind, it will make it easy to make the time huddle when most are there lead by example have fun with it, it was a challenge when we do this, what’s the best time, how do we get everybody together.
Once I saw it in action, I think all that skepticism melted away. I meet with the leads and the student managers and let them know what’s going on as far as what our goals are and then when they go off and have their individual Huddle’s, they pass that information on the Sodexo experience Huddle’s are very good for that we’ve managed to meet our goals without as much struggle everyone here you come through here smiling, because they want to be here, they had fun with it now, because when they walk through the door, I’m standing there with these cards, that’s recognizing our customers a lot happier, because our employees are a lot happier, it’s to say you did a great job today.
It makes a world of difference, let’s go having fun, when it comes to the next experience, we have fun with it, the Huddle’s that happened before are tons of fun students like giving each other cards and they like recognizing each other.
But it’s so important to have fun with it too and that makes the process all the more positive the Huddle’s are where it all starts and each huddle has seven key steps the call to huddle recognition of team members a review of goals successes and topic important announcements and having fun with it.
The first step is getting everyone together, Huddle’s happen wherever it’s convenient in the servery in the back of the kitchen or any nearby space, make sure to start with recognition and share all the excellent experience cards.
This is a great opportunity to go over teen goals successes topics and announcements and having fun pulls, everyone together and makes a difference to everyone on staff. It brings more energy makes me more excited about coming doors people are a lot happier and it’s brought people a little bit closer together.
We bond a little bit more about good that people saw that I was putting an extra effort to come in to work for other people people that you never see, because they’re so shy and quiet and they get recognized for doing a good job, so it’s been great, we work hard, have fun, do a good job and recognize each other along the way, we’re glad you’re on our team and part of the Sodexo experience
