How to get 4G LTE on Straight Talk on Apple iPhone 5s with Carrier Locked Activation Process

Description: The article is mainly designed to talk about the straight talk activation. In this passage, the author shows you how to make 4G LTE work on the Straight Talk Network on the iPhone 5s.

This is Danny. Today I’m going to show you 4G LTE working on the Straight Talk Network on the iPhone 5s. A lot of people use the 5s, but don’t want to pay those carrier prices. This is going to cost you about $45 with tax. It comes with the SIM card.

The activation instructions can help you to activate your phone without problems. It should work. There might be some data issues. The first time you will get a micro SIM and they don’t have a nano SIM. You can get out of the box.

You can take the nano SIM if you have one or you can cut around the excess plastic that’s around there to make it fit in the actual SIM card tray. It’s not a problem. I did this with mine, so don’t worry about it. Try to leave the gold parts intact and I will show you what it looks like after you cut it. This is what it looks like after you cut it.

Make sure it fits into that SIM card tray. That’s much. This is a 5s. There is the fingerprint scanner. This is the gold model which only comes in the iPhone 5s. I want to show you. This is the new iPhone 5s. Let’s wait and pop in a SIM card. I’ve had the SIM card already in there.

I have to confess that when I first had this tracfone wireless or straight talk SIM card. I was only getting HSPA+ over the network and I couldn’t figure out how to get LTE. I’ll show you later what happened to me that let me get LTE. Since this is a lock device to AT&T, the first thing you need to do is to go to

They have the straight talk APN profiles. If you can’t get to your APN with the unlock device, this is the way to go the one. That works for me. What I have to do is to hit this and it’ll take you to a profile. You need to install this and it has the APN. All you need to do is to download it. You will see it on your profile. It says straight talk. That’s all you need to do. You should get your data working with a problem.

There is no iPhone 5s unlocked version straight from the factory. You have to unlock it from a third-party company to be able to access the APN. You do not have to access to a peon if you download that. A carrier update happened for me. A few days after this happened, I got it over the air. Once I got the carrier update, it changed to tracfone Wireless. Once I activated the LTE, you could see that.

I’m sure if you don’t get that carrier update, there’s a way to look for it. It popped up over the air and told me that it had a carrier setting update. I did that and it activated the LTE. Let me know in the comments below if that happened to you and let me know if you’re having troubles with this.

Let’s take a look at the speeds. It’s not too bad. It’s struggling on the up, but that’s still not too bad. It’s way better than HSPA+. Let’s hit that one more time and the ping is a little slow. I have to make compared to hitting off the AT&T and Tower. This is $45 for a month and it is good and unlimited.

I’m not sure how this is going to work though in 30 days. I’m not sure how they throttle down. I’ll keep this updated. if they throttle my speed after a certain amount of time. They claim it’s unlimited but I think they will throttle you after two gigs. Look at the speed here. I have three bars up there. It’s consistent.

I have five bars on the bottom. They’re in a high signal area 26.69 and down very fast on LTE. That’s the only thing I’ve noticed. The speeds are slow and you will get inconsistent data speeds sometimes. There is LTE working on Straight Talk wireless where before you’re only able to get 4G fast which is HSP Plus.

This is a great deal. I think if you’re looking for an iPhone 5s and you want to use it on the Straight Talk Network, this is the way to go. The tax is around 50 bucks a month. It’s so much cheaper than whatever carrier that you’re going to go. What do you think about Straight Talk?
