It centers on how to complete a performance assessment. We’re going to go up to my degree plan. It will give you a list of all the courses you will complete throughout your degree at WGU. You’ll see some courses are peas for performance assessment and others are OHS for objective assessment.
Performance assessment means you’ll write the paper, turn it in and get credit objective assessment. You’ll take a multiple-choice test, pass the test and get credit. Therefore, we are going to look at ethical situations in business. Click it and it will take you to the courses of study.
When you are doing a performance assessment, you always start with taskstream. You start with the directions and further go to the assessment tab. This is the student mentor view. It’ll be a bit different for you. You’ll have a green taskstream button or a green preview button. You’ll be in taskstream. There might be some registration information. If it’s the first time you have logged in, go ahead. However, when you intend to make a performance assessment, you need start it in taskstream.
You’ve got the name of the course at the top and a little welcome message, but what you want are the directions for the paper that you’re going to write. You will find those on the left which should be with Task 1 and Task 2.
It is a Gotham circled for our purposes. We’re going to click Task 2, which brings up the directions. In this way, we have got an introduction about the situation. Two other individuals have decided to start a company that will provide management consulting services to nonprofit organizations.
The company will have approximately 15 to 20 employees in total, so you can read through it. Further read the page, and find the rubric at the bottom, so you’ve read through the directions. You can click on the rubric and there’s a couple ways to get there. Click it to find it’s a table that the evaluator will use to grade your paper. They will give you a value of one to four. You want a four on all of them. This is the outline to your paper on the left.
You can see the articulation response is our accuracy of mechanics. Those apply to the paper as a whole. But as you get lower to see ABCD, which are the specific sections you need to write about and the outline. Get your Word document out and copy them.
Here’s your Word document. You’ve started your paper before you’ve. Before you’ve read anything in the course of study or have looked at any of the textbooks, you start your paper and get the outline out. We will go back to the directions which is developing appropriate standards and procedures sections such as a code of ethics.
We’re going to look at the rubric again. I want to get the highest value. I have to develop standards and procedures section that is appropriate to the given company. It is my chance to put everything I know on paper. I am going to fill this paper out. Thus, you know what the company holds the employees do. This company believes in providing an excellent service to both internal and external customers.
The company’s standard is you can state it clearly. The company standard is to provide excellent service while exceeding any regulatory requirements. You’ll write something different. But once I filled out this section, the standards and procedures all come down and fill in the ethics training plans section.
There’s no need for fancy transitions from one topic to annex to the next. It can be very self-contained ABCD. It helps the evaluator when they are evaluating the paper. It also helps you if you get an evaluation back where they would revisit topic.
But we need you to revisit it and change a part of the review and improve plan section, so you can come to your paper. You don’t have to mess with anything. You change this part, so you go it through and fill it in with what you know. Eventually, you’re going to hit a point where you go well.
I’m not sure what they mean by monitoring system. You know what a monitoring system is. I’m not sure when you go back into the course of study. When you come into the textbook, you know the resources they provide. When you do some reading, you can come to the course. You can look in the course tips for PowerPoint slide about monitoring systems. You could email course mentor. You come to the course of study when you have a question. You need more knowledge to turn it in.
While you’re writing the paper, you want to write it in APA format. I suggest the Purdue online Writing Lab Purdue owl. You can search in Google Purdue owl APA. This is what it looks like and on the left you’ve got your different topics, so there’s general formatting they want things like a running head.
You can talk to the course mentors or me about specific style questions, so you’ve got your paper written. It’s ready to go. You’ve saved it in either a PDF or a rich text format.
You are ready to turn it in. You go back to task stream, select the task you’re working on. You come down to the attachments button, click it. Once it’s uploaded, you’ll see an animation at the top right hand corner. It’s not here because I didn’t turn anything in, but a new button will appear to submit your work. You’ll see a little animation that says don’t forget to submit your work.
Once it’s turned in, you can go to the scores and results tab. You can see where you are in the queue. You know how many people are in front of you when the order your paper is going to get graded. You can look at the results if you passed it.
