Description: This is a speech given by the graduates of the WGU on some suggestions on how to spend the first term and what people may achieve at WGU.
Welcome to WGU and congratulations on making this decision to go back to school, you’re going to have so many wonderful fantastic experiences, you’ll learn real-world things things that you can apply right away to your occupation and what you plan on getting into, you’ll learn things that you’ll actually be doing in a career.
If you open up a course, there’ll be 11 tasks. Look at task 1, create schedules for time management and make sure that you do stay on their schedules to reach your own goals, learn how to work your time and how to divvy up your time and be effective.
I also use Microsoft Outlook as a time management tool, don’t measure yourself up anyone else to figure out what you are comfortable with, what your timetable is, don’t be afraid to slow down a little bit, take some time with your mentor to discuss about your degree program.Trust your mentor, because they’re never going to steer you wrong.
Take advantage of the resources, make a schedule, follow it and get it done, you are not lonely in this university, always remember that you have people there who are watching out for you and no matter how hard it it gets don’t give up.
When you do have those successes, celebrate them, college requires a lot of hard work but if you stick with it, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, go for it and you will feel confident about yourself, you’ll learn much more about yourself and you’ll be much better to face the challenge of the world.
God luck with your degree.
