If you’re a member of Ocean State CrossFit, I want you to watch this entire video in its entirety, this is a new software that we’re looking at bringing it to the box, we’re going to drive it in a test for the next 30 days or so.
But I think that this will be a good replacement for both our white board and the journals, it’s an online software tracking software, that will track your performance, so detract your performance over the workouts, it’ll track your strength, it’ll track your any PRS, any benchmark workouts.
It’s a hundred percent digital and I’m going to show you how to use it and how to sign up, you may or may not have gotten an email from a company called wada fine with your login credentials.
If you didn’t get that email, what I want you to try to do in first is to go to athlete login, if you don’t have the email, what I want you to do is that I want you to push, I forgot my password, your username is going to be your email address, your email address that you use to reserved classes will be your username.
So I want you to go ahead and enter that there, if you did get the email, you’ll want to go ahead and login and I’m going to log in using my credentials and this is the screen that you may think you’ll see this screen.
But you’ll see a screen similar to this, obviously, this is my screen and I have control and I can change the users, you’ll see a screen like this, the first thing that you want to do is to go up into your area, my information part, you can change your user name, so you can tailor, make your username and then you can change your password.
I recommend you changing your password, because the password that they give you is a long one, you probably won’t remember, so you can go ahead and change your password here, so what this is essentially the idea behind Wi-Fi is that we can track our performance via the computer.
So instead of having the whiteboard where we write everything down in class and know you can only see your performance for the time that you’re in class and you lose track of where you’re at after that.
If you’re in the morning class, you can’t see how you stack up against everybody else, when it comes in and completes the workout now, you’ll be able to see everything and how everybody did and where you line up and where you stack up based on anybody else’s performance.
So this is the way it’s going to work, when you come into class on the front screen, so when you walk in, you’re going to see this with the coach board on the Coach board, the coach will go ahead and put the class up there.
So it’ll be ready to go and what you’ll do is that you’re going to sign yourself in to class now, you can do this at our computer with the wireless keyboard in the wireless, the wireless mouse you’ll click on athlete and you can go ahead and enter your name.
So for me, I’ll go ahead and sign myself in and then sign in athlete, so what this will do is that this will sign you in for this particular workout and what you will see here if you scroll over here, for instance, we’re doing Turkish get-ups today, if in the past you’ve done Turkish get-ups and you need to see where your number was, the last strength number that you did, you can scroll over this and see your past performances here which is great.
We’re doing deadlifts and I know a lot of you forget your weights, you don’t know what you did lift last time, you’ll be able to hit this button here, scroll over it and you’ll see what you used for that particular strength for that particular day.
Obviously, it is the workout, the workout is listed on the left hand side, so you can see what the strength is for the day and that will automatically pop up populate in here your past performance the same thing for the metcon.
If we’re doing a benchmark metcon workout that you’ve done in the past, we do benchmarks every once in a while, your past performance will show up here, if it’s a workout and usually all our workouts are custom-made that that performance won’t populate here.
But you will do that, like I said, if we’re doing a benchmark, I’ve done the workout before you will see that if for some reason, you’re not in the system now and there may be some people who aren’t in the system.
I’m trying to figure all that out now, what you’ll do is that you’ll sign yourself in as a drop in, you’ll put your name in here, so Scott Smith your gender and then sign is a drop in and obviously, you’ll have no information here.
But we’ll figure out and we’ll get you into the computer, so this is how you’re going to sign in for class, so every class that you come in, you’ll want to go to that computer and log and sign yourself in now.
If those of you that have phones and you can access the internet on you, what you’ll do is that you’ll go to Wi-Fi comm, you’ll login the same way, the top right-hand corner, you’ll log in the same way, you’ll click that button, you’ll sign in with your credentials and what will happen is that you’ll get a blue box, that’ll pop up, asking you if you want to have a homepage app designed for your phone.
I recommend you doing that I can’t show you a screenshot of that, but I can talk you through it, you click that button and now you have access to a mobile app, that’ll show you the workout of the day, you can manually sign yourself in for class on your phone, so you’re showing up to the nine o’clock class.
You’re on your way here 8 o’clock or 8:30, you want to manually log yourself into the 9 o’clock class, you can do all of that from your cell phone which is awesome as well, so please use that function too.
If you do have a cell phone, I want you to log yourself in using your cell phone, otherwise, you can do it when you show up for class, so once you’re in class, what will happen is that you’ll complete the workout of the day.
After you’ve completed the workout of the day for here for Turkish get up, I do 135, I’ll enter my weight in there and then any type of comments, let’s say tried 145 and failed, I can put back those comments in there the workout of the day, I’ll log my time, so in 7 minutes, in 45 seconds and irx the workout in order to rx the workout.
You have to do everything as required, for instance, here we’re at 15 overhead squats at 50% of your 1 rep max as long as you keep complete full range of motion full squads 30 setups in a for me to run, that would be completing the workout as required.
For instance, if there are box jumps obviously box from our rx height, for men is 24 inches for women is 20 inches, kettlebell swings are X weight is 53 and 35, all that will be covered, obviously, you can only hit our X.
If you perform those movements as required, pull-ups as required without bands, without doing jumping pull-ups, so you’ll hit that button, if you didn’t perform the workout as required and I can write any comments in here which is tired.
There will auto-populate and what you’ll see here, so once I’ve entered out in here, I go to the whiteboard and you can now see my whiteboard performance, you’ll show yourself stacked up amongst everybody else, so Scott Smith didn’t enter his information, let’s say Scott Smith, enter his information, he did 155 and then he did 6 our 6:45.
We go back to the whiteboard and you can now see where Scott Smith stacks up for the met Khan and if we want to see the strength, you can see the strength population in both men and women, so this here would be great, because you can go home and you can see exactly where you are on the whiteboard.
If you perform the workout as required, that’s great, you’ll be able to see a check mark by your name here and this is a great way to see where your performed based on your particular ability and also where you perform stack them stacked up amongst everybody else, you also have the ability to review your performances on any particular day.
So I can go back to my performance and I can see, so I want to go back five months ago, I can see how I performed in a workout five months ago and all that information will be tracked here in my journal.
You can have the ability to put your food and log your food, so if you want to work with a coach on nutrition, you’ll have an ability to do that here, this isn’t necessarily what we’re going to start off, using right off the bat, you want to focus on the logging in and in tracking your workouts.
So like I said, the coach board is going to be where you will sign yourself in as well as enter your results and the white board shows you how you stack up for the class, this screen will be available in the box where our timer normally is.
So we’ll have the timer and then after the class is over, you’ll be able to see where you’re at the coach board will be in the main office, so you can enter your results for the workout in one of two ways, you can enter them in here or you can go onto your phone, your smart phone or any other phone with internet capabilities and enter your results in there.
However, I need everybody to enter your results in order to use this software and make us justify the cost to use this software. I need to have a hundred percent participation for the next two to three weeks.
I think this is something, that’s great, you’ll have the ability of seeing the workout of the day, it’ll publish when that did that class that day starts, so I know a lot of us and you want to see the workout, this will be posted here.
If this is not being used, we will not use it, obviously not going to invest money into a software that nobody is using, but I need every single one of you to use this, you’ll get coached on it, when you get into class and will be for the next two weeks on any results.
But eventually, it’ll become second nature like you enter your results up on the white board here and physically you’ll enter your results in here digitally, so I wanted to put this video out, we’ll have more on this when you get in the class.
