Description: This passage intends to show you something about icloud login. The author wants to show you how to download your photos quickly from iCloud to your PC and shows you some common mistakes that you may make before, which may not exist now.
Click on photos in iCloud. You used to be able to click on the first photo that you want to download, if you held down the shift key and selected the last photo, then all the in-betweens would automatically be selected.
That option is no longer available, there are two options for downloading batch photos now, the first option is to go to the Photos tab, if you have a day that you took many photos, you can go to that day, click on plus button and then click off of it giving you the option to make a new item or do different things with it or put in a different album.
You can use this and you can click the download button to download the selected items, I’m going do a test with that, it’s gone loading the three into my downloads, it’s downloading them.
The other way is great, if one day you took a bunch of photos, you want to go to all your photos in the side tab, these earlier photos from different times and days maybe a long time ago were in the last version of iCloud photo.
Before you could select the first photo, hold the shift key down and select the last photo, it would select all the ones in between, that is no longer available now, so the workaround for that on the Mac is to hold shift option command and click each individual photo. It is the only way to do it.
This time you’ve gotten through a couple hundred of these clicking them, they’re outlining blue, you are ready to download and you accidentally click the white space in between the two photos, if you do that, what going to happen is that it’s going to deselect everything.
As you’re going through holding down shift option command, make sure you don’t click on the white space, another thing you don’t want to do is to double click on a photo while you’ve got the previous photo selected.
If you accidentally click a double click on one, it’s going to open the photo and then I’m going to double click this white space to get back to where I was, all these lucky photos are selected, so I’m going to do a quick download for you to show how to do it.
To do a quick test, hold down shift option command, click the white spaces and go in to the cloud with the arrow button download selected items, it is downloading into my downloads folder and then it’s opening each photo and preview. This is the default action. I’m not sure how to turn that off.
