Description: This article is mainly about linkedin login, in which the author introduces the best LinkedIn tips. LinkedIn is a crucial tool for today’s professional. Knowing how to properly market yourself on LinkedIn and attract the attention of recruiters is a skill that all professionals should have.
I am JT from Work It Daily. If you are one of the five hundred million plus and Counting people that are on LinkedIn, you know that like all social media platforms, it’s constantly changing, it’s important that you know what to do on LinkedIn, so you can get ahead and certainly not waste time on it.
We already spend a lot of time on social media, you want to get the most out of LinkedIn, what I want to do today is to share with you my best three tips for 2018, so you can be a top performer on LinkedIn, and you will not waste any time on it.
The first tip I have for you today is to make sure that you let recruiters know that you are open to new job opportunities, there is a new setting in LinkedIn, you’re going to go into your privacy settings to find it, it’s a little toggle button and when you turn that on, it’s secretly telling recruiters who are out there searching on LinkedIn for candidates.
You’re open to new positions, this is very important, LinkedIn is the number one tool that recruiters proactively use to find candidates that fit their skill sets, when you have this toggled on, you’re going to rise up in the list of results they get when they’re searching for people with your qualifications.
My next tip number two is for you to find ways to stand out in the newsfeed, these days everybody’s posting content on LinkedIn, a lot of it is written text, which doesn’t get read, like other social media platforms, visual content is going to stand out.
There are free tools like Canva that can allow you to create a picture or a graphic, it’s easier than ever these days to take your favorite professional or leadership quote, put it on a picture and put it in your feed.
This is going to drive discussion and it’s going to make you stand out, there’s a famous phrase by Doris Day that people hear what they see. If you have a visual feed for yourself, you’re going to make a much stronger impression on LinkedIn.
My third tip is for you to think about creating a Content calendar for your LinkedIn feed. You know they say out of sight out of mind, people will forget about you as a professional if they aren’t hearing from you.
It’s very easy for you to do this on a daily or Eve more frequent basis, all you need to do is to figure out what you want to share about your career, about your industry, about your job, about your employer, whatever it is that you want to put in the feed so that it makes that impression.
Being consistent in the feed is vital in 2018, now I even suggest you get a calendar and you put little reminders to yourself, you’ll be amazed that eventually to become a habit and you won’t even need to think about it anymore, but even better watch the engagement rates go up and watch more people contact you because of the brand that you’re building on LinkedIn.
I’m going to give you a fourth bonus tip and this is specifically for all those job seekers. We have the 8 mistakes you’re making when applying to jobs online, it’s not LinkedIn, it’s all the other things you’re doing online that could be getting you in trouble.
