Description: The article is about login microsoft online. This is a tutorial on how to create a trial Business Productivity Online Suite account with Microsoft Online Services. The author shows how to create a trial Business Productivity Online Suite account with Microsoft Online Services.
You can find Microsoft online easily by opening a browser and searching for Microsoft online services or Microsoft online. It’s the second result, you can see the Microsoft online services. On the splash page, you can see all the information about the Microsoft online services especially the Microsoft business productivity online standard suite which is the focus of this demo,it’s the account that we’re going to sign up for.
You can learn more,we’ll try it free for 30 days,we’ll go to free trials,we have the business productivity online standard suite, there are also individual products that we can try as well from web such as the CRM dynamics,CRM product, email exchange online and office communications online, sharepoint online. We could pick individual products but in this case we’re going to choose the entire suite which includes exchange online, sharepoint online, office communications online and office live meeting.
We’ll click try, you’ll see a getting started overview,it is a step by step guide in case you need some help on how to do this, this is the customer portal page that once we’ve created the account, this will have a lot more information on it.
Before we sign in,we’re going to select the country for where the services will be used,in this case is the United States. Now we are getting started. The first thing we need to do is to sign up with our windows live ID,if you don’t have a windows live ID,you’ll need to create one,if you already have one, obviously you can sign in by using that windows live ID.
The windows live ID is your account that’s going to be associated with your trial account of Microsoft online services,it will be used as your administrator or login.I’m going to assume that you do not have a windows live ID,we’re going to go ahead and create one.
We can see sign in now or create one,it means create a live ID,we’ll create click create one,the browser takes us to the MSN signup page,in this case I’m going to start from scratch and choose sign me up for a free MSN hotmail email address.
For my email address,I’m going to make a fake one. I’ll check the availability,it is available,I’ll add a password,I know the minimums is six,I will try to do that in eight to 12. You need to create something strong that has capitalized and lowercase letters, numbers and maybe special characters such as a dollar sign or %.
I will use my mother’s birthplace,I’ll pick something and I’m going to go ahead and fill this out,I am going to click next,we’ll get to that. I’m going to do this offline, once I get everything filled out,I’ll go ahead and click accept, that will create my account,I’ll go ahead and complete this portion,it will continue once I click the I accept button.
I’ve successfully created my hotmail account,it’s all ready to go,I can use it whenever it’s ready,I’m going to open it up in a new tab and then I’m also going to click continue. After creating my live ID account,I’m taken to my profile for creating a trial account within Microsoft online services, there’s my first name, last name, there’s my email address that I created and I agree that Microsoft can use it. This is the address information,I’m going to fill that in with my business address, you can try calling me at this number but you won’t reach me.
You need to type in your company name,I’ll put in my real company name, primary activities, computer software and number of employees. We’re less than 500,I am going to click next and everything is good,I can click finish. If I need,I can obviously go backwards and edit any of the data that needs to be corrected, but I’m good here so I’ll click finish.
You’ll see that the profile has been created,I can buy a service and click close and go to the services page, you can see the available options, you can see all the different products that are available to us as part of Microsoft online services. We have trial accounts, all the others need to purchase in time,we have it available to us.
We have the business productivity online standard suite and the business productivity online desk, let’s work with it. I’m going to choose business productivity online suit,I’ll click it and add to cart. In the shopping cart,we will see that we have a quantity of 20 licenses available as part of the trial.
This isn’t the one that I want to use. I can certainly remove,I can go back and add more by hitting continue shopping,if I’m looking for a partner to help me,I can find a partner that’s certified to help with Microsoft online services, but in this case I don’t want to do that,I’m good to go.
I want to click check out,I’m going to have to agree to a few terms and conditions,I certainly recommend reading them all so you know what you’re agreeing to,but I’m going to check the box I agree,I have to type in my full name and my title, and then obviously at the lower right hand corner,I need to click I accept.
After doing that,I’ll receive my confirmation number,I’ll have the confirmation email sent to me to the hotmail account that I created that’s associated with my windows live ID,I can proceed to the activation to continue. I need to specify a domain to associate with this subscription.
Microsoft will create a new domain based on the company, for example you can enter contoso.com,it will create contoso1.com,Microsoft online, com, this is is going to be the name that you want to have associated with the Microsoft online.com domain.
Moss dev is my company name,I have a domain name that I’m eventually going to associate,we have moss dev,I am going to click Next. Before I can click next,I need to go ahead and add the domain portion. In this case,it wants the domain name plus com or net or org. We’re good,we’ll click Next, there’s all the information.
The service has been updated successfully,I will click Next, the summary has my account owner information and the service administrator, the email account I created earlier and the domain name that I gave it. We’ll click finish, once everything is activated,I’ll have instructions sent to my email account and everything will be there.
At this point in time I’ve successfully signed up for a trial account,I can log in using the live ID I created earlier. Once the account has been provisioned,we can see partially active status. If I look on more,I will see what’s going on.
We have Microsoft Exchange Online, the service is activating the same thing with Sharepoint online and communications online standard. All those services are active, the activation of the Microsoft office live meeting is still in progress.
Our status is partially active. You are going to the actions, you can choose get credentials. We’ll get a pop-up box that gives us the admin account name and a temporary password as well as a link that will take us to there. I’m going to go ahead and click on that link,I’ll copy this password. By clicking that link,it takes us to the Microsoft online services administration center.
I’ll be honest,I can’t remember everything,I’m going to take the admin username,I’ll paste the value into the username,I will sign in,I am going to try that again. I think the problem is that I have a space at the end of that password, immediately it will be the one for the old password and a new password.
Seven characters are more,it should be the combination of upper and lowercase letters,it should at least contain one number or symbol, you will get a strong password. I’ll click OK and the password has been successfully changed,we’ll click continue. We’ve successfully logged into the administration center by using the administrator login.
I have a trial account, everything’s good. We’ll see the status of services of exchange online and sharepoint online, they’re both healthy,we’re waiting for Office Live Meeting to become active online. But a key thing to remember is the live ID that you used to create, the trial service is not the same as the admin ID that is provided within your customer portal account.
There’s your customer portal which is your account that’s associated with your live ID,within your trial account of microphone line services, you have an administrator ID that’s separate. I have a trial that’s going to last me for 30 days. I am going to show you how to do more with Microsoft online services.
