This is amber Baylor with ask medical billing com, today I’m going to show you how simple it is to complete a claim in three easy steps in the WE Bill e-Software program, so let’s get started by reviewing how to navigate around the screen.
The screen is divided into three parts, it’s the navigation list where you will add new patients, new visits and manage your patients, it’s the menu where you will manage visit locations, client IDs and caregivers, third parties and accounts receivables.
Finally it’s the work pad where you’ll be adding all the pertinent information needed to complete a claim, so let’s get started, when you first enter into the WE Bill e-Software program, you’re presented with this screen to add a new patient which is step one, and the easy step is to click the add patient button in the navigation list.
In the work pad, you can see that there are little blue boxes that are next to some of the fields, these blue boxes are required information to be able to continue on, the next step in the process at this point is that I click the continue button and I receive a message, please review the data before continuing, this is a feature that minimizes the amount of claims that come back to you.
So I simply click the Save button and the update occurs, from here I can go in and find the patient that I have entered in by clicking the first letter of their last name, clicking the refresh button and then going to the patient, all of the pertinent information is there, the update that I have entered has occurred and I have completed step one of adding a new patient.
For step two in the process, we’re going to add a visit, go to the work pad and click the add visit button, from here you will click the visit button to be taken to the screen that describes the visit, I’ve entered in all of the required information in the Add Visit screen as indicated by the blue boxes.
It’s also important to note that the WE Bill e-Software features Auto tabbing, so I can simply put in the time and it skips to the next box, the Auto tabbing feature allows you to quickly complete your claim, now I’ve entered in all of the pertinent information and all the right codes, I can click the continue button and review my data.
This information is updated in the visit area of the Add Visit screen, from here we’re going to add insurance and the red message tells you exactly what you should be doing, I’m going to click the add insurance button, from here we click the magnifying glass which gives us a drop-down menu of different insurances.
We click Aetna then we click the Add button, from here we’re going to enter the bill priority, so this is a primary insurance and we’re going to enter one, and for the policy number we’re going to get this normally from the insurance card, but we’re going to enter this information, we’re going to review the screen and then we’re going to continue the insurance which is updated with a priority of one.
We click continue and the next step is to enter in and update the charges, we do this by simply clicking the add or update charges button, so first we’re going to click the service code which will update the date, the quantity, the description and the price override, we push to continue and you can see that the charges have been updated.
We’re now back on the update visit screen and the red message has turned to black, and it says that now please review the data before continuing, click the Save button and the update will occur, we have completed step two, and let’s move on to step 3 and view the claim, from here we click the date of service.
Then we click on the claim, we can view or print the claim, we can click this button which will hide the navigation and menu list, and you can view the claim more fully, from here you can also print the claim or continue which will take you back to the previous screen, congratulations you have completed your 1500 claim form in the three easy steps.
