Description: This passage is designed to talk about travel rewards credit cards, the Chase Sapphire Reserve, it will introduce some of the benefits of it and help you figure out if this is a good one for you.
Today we’re talking about travel rewards credit cards, the Chase Sapphire Reserve, if you are looking to get into travel rewards credit cards, you check their site out because they have a lot of information about the value of these credit cards.
First, you earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 in the first three months, which is equivalent to about $750. If you’re redeeming your points through your the chase Ultimate Rewards portal then you can spend up to about $750. Now if you choose to transfer your points directly to a travel partner, you can even double this $750 and sometimes you can triple it, so you can get value.
The second thing is $300 travel annual travel credit. So every year, you’ll get $300 credit for travel as far as airfare, hotel, taxis buses. You can get that even if you only travel twice a year. You get three points for every dollar spent on travel and dining at restaurants worldwide and then you’ll get one point for every dollar spent any other purchases.
If you’re in a bind and you need to fly on a certain flight, then going through the travel portal will work better for you, you get on the portal and find an American Airlines flight, book it through the portal.
There is an one to one point transfer. So if I transfer 10,000 points to United, I’ll have 10,000 points in my United account, but it doesn’t work with all the accounts. And you will also have access to over a thousand airport lounges which is a huge benefit especially if you’re in a situation where you have a long layover, at least you have a place where you can go and relax, some of them lounges even have showers.
There is also a hundred-dollar-application. So you have a credit to purchase Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, I recommend the Global Entry because $100 is the price of Global Entry. The benefit of getting Global Entry is that you get Global Entry and TSA PreCheck. If you get TSA PreCheck, it’s $85, but you only get TSA PreCheck, you don’t take the Global Entry.
The Global Entry is for those who are in another country and is coming back to us, Global Entry allows you to go through a separate line which is a lot faster process and you don’t have to have tickets choose off, take a computer out or take your cameras out. TSA PreCheck has no blackout dates or restrictions, but you do have to realize that you are using your points.
However there is an annual fee of $450 but if you use this $300 travel credit every year, that breaks it down to about a $150 and if you usually use this credit card, you’ll be getting points, if you get 15,000, that will be another $150. That way you can see that you can get the value of $450 every year.
So I would highly recommend it.
