Description: This article is mainly about my verizon login, which shows you the steps to order a Verizon wireless prepaid SIM card and activate it online. Customers can take advantage of the low cost 4G LTE No Annual Contract Plan by bringing their own 4G Verizon Wireless device.
Today I’m going to show you the steps to order a Verizon wireless prepaid SIM card and activate it online. I had a request for this from Randy. When I signed up for Verizon wireless prepaid, he was wondering if I could do an update.
What I can do is to show you some of the steps on the website. I’m not going to go through the complete process, but I can show you some of the steps on Verizon Wireless.com, I’d start by going to bring your own device.
I assume you’re going to do BYOD, you want to use a phone you already have, they want to know whether or not you’re already a Verizon customer, I’m going to assume that you’re not a Verizon customer.
I’m going to enter in the device ID of one of my phones, they want to check to make sure that the phone is compatible with their network, for this iPhone 6 I have here, the phone works with the Verizon network.
I can complete the steps, order a sim and pick a plan, one thing I wanted to point out is that they’re going to send you the SIM card for free, if you already have a SIM card from Verizon, you can check the serial number and see if you can use the existing SIM.
It says I need a SIM, I have a sim, if you have a SIM card, you can enter in the sim number, I assume once you get the sim card in the mail, you can do the same thing, you can come back and repeat these steps.
I have a sim card, enter the sim card number and then click continue, you’ll be able to complete the activation of your phone, let’s finish these steps, you can add the sim to the cart, even though that sim is free, unfortunately they won’t let you order the sim card, you’re going to need to pick a plan.
This is a little confusing, let me show you what this looks like, I’m going to add the sim to the cart, I need to pick a plan, they want you to explore the different plans, the first thing to notice is that it says the new Verizon plan is for post paid service.
If you’re interested in prepaid service, click to the right here and they’ll show you the different prepaid wireless plans, one of the things I like is that they show the table of the different plans and the features.
Unfortunately with this table, they don’t let you pick the plan, you scroll down and you click on shop prepaid plan, when you do that, they automatically add the $40 smartphone plan to your cart, the $40 plan is the one that comes with three gigabytes of high-speed data.
If you want to change, if you want a different plan, you can click on edit, you’ll have the choice to select the 50, 60 or 80 dollars plan, at this point I want to say that I would probably only do this order online and activate online.
I was interested in the $40 plan or the $80 plan, if you’re interested in the $50 plan or the $60 plan, it will make more sense to check out the Verizon wireless prepaid Walmart deal, I have a lot of articles on that.
If you sign up for the 50 or 60 dollars plan via Walmart, you’re going to get an extra two gigabytes of high-speed data, instead of getting seven gigabytes of high-speed data or 10 gigabytes, you’d get 9 gigabytes or 12 gigabytes.
That would be a better option, check out the other articles on my website if you’re interested in that, but if you’re interested in the $40 plan or the $80 plan, you’re not going to get any benefit or any promotion.
Signing up through Walmart, you could order this all directly from Verizon and save a trip to the store, once you’ve picked your plan, you’re going to add it to the cart, I’ll stick with the $40 plan, I have the 4G nano SIM card in my cart, that’s free and then a $40 smartphone plan.
Then I would need to click checkout, you would need to complete your billing and shipping information and your payment information, your order would be complete, I want to point out here that you’ll see you get free two-day shipping and you’ll see there are taxes and fees of two dollars and fifty cents, that’s state sales tax for Massachusetts.
I’m going to remove my device, we’ll try this one more time, I’m going to say that I have Verizon, if you’re already a Verizon customer, they’re going to let you log into your Verizon online account or register.
They could walk you through the process of switching your service from whatever plan you’re on to one of these prepaid wireless plans. Finally I want to say if you decide to sign up for the$ 40 or $80 plan with Verizon wireless prepaid, consider using the links provided in my website, it won’t cost you anything extra and you’ll be helping to support smart phone matters.com.
I hope that this helps you out. If you have any comments or questions, leave them below or head on over to smartphone matters.com. Thanks for reading.
