Description: The following passage mainly focuses on onedrive login, which talks about how to sync your OneDrive to your computer. OneDrive will act as a kind of backup staying synced with the computer files that you have saved in OneDrive, however, OneDrive serves as a way for teams to collaborate with large files.
This is Sam from ONGC systems, today we’re going to be looking at your onedrive personal account, setting it up and syncing a few files. If you want to come down to your Start menu, search for onedrive, you’ll notice that you have onedrive and onedrive for business.
Onedrive for business is installed when you’re still in office 365, but onedrive will be default with any Windows 8 or up operating system, open onedrive application and we’ll have a sign-in option, once we sign in, I’ve already created an account for this tutorial, but if you haven’t created an account or you haven’t signed up with a normal email address before to a Microsoft account, you can do this.
I’m going to put in my user credentials that I’ve already created and my password, once we sign in, we’ll get an option to change the install location, we’d only recommend this if you have a very small C Drive or if you’re using an SSD and there’s limited space available.
For most cases your C Drive installation would be fine, in this case it will be fine for us, hit next, it’s going to try and find the files have already created on my onedrive, I’ve already got a onedrive account, I’ve already created that Documents folder.
If you don’t have anything there, that’s not a worry, hit next, it’ll give us a option to open our onedrive folder, this will most likely open a link for tutorial as well, we’re already in the middle with tutorial, we’re going to close that window.
Your onedrive has signed in on your computer, if you open up your Explorer, you’ll see you’ll have onedrive in the corner, for the tutorial’s sake I’m going to create a new folder, I’m going to call it temp, we’re going to create a new text document, I’ll call it test.
We’ve created a new document, we’ve placed it in our onedrive, we can check if it’s synced or we can access this from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection, if you want to go to onedrive live.com, you will be at a sign in.
I’ll show you this in a minute, you have a sign-in option on the top right hand corner, it’s already remembered my account, what I’m going to do is to fix it up because that’s wrong, we hit next, it’ll bring us to our actual sign-in page, I recommend that you put this page into favorite because you’ll most likely be there again.
Put in your credentials, if you come down to our temp document, you can see our newly saved test file, that will allow us to open it in onedrive and see the text document, I haven’t written anything in the text document, there’s nothing, that’s a quick tutorial on how to access your onedrive and sign in on your local computer, if you have any other issues, don’t forget to call us on seven five five nine four zero zero nine nine. Thanks.
