I’m going to do my presentation over point click care. Point click care is an electronic health record platform that I use at my job, it’s most commonly known as an EHR. Point click care was founded by Mike Wessinger, he’s the CEO and founder of point click care. Point click care is also commonly referred to PCC for short. This picture shows him and his brother. He’s a co-founder but Dave is the chief technology officer.
They started point click care in 2000. Everybody uses point click care. Point click care is commonly preferred as PCC. Point click care was purchased through my company so I can’t give you an exact price on how much the program software is. But on one of their online brochures, they say depending on the unique needs of your organization, point click care offers a variety of application packages and services all fully integrated and running from the same software platform.
The price is depending on what type of need your organization has. I work in a skilled nursing facility, that is one of the main things they focus on. They focus on skill nursing, Senior Living, IL, AL an MC, IL means Independent Living, AL means assisted living and MC means memory care.
They also offer packages for continuing care retirement communities. They are available to both independent and corporate owned enterprises. Whether they’re big or small, point click care is available to all. These are a couple of examples for you to learn about Point click care.
It is available on Windows or PC or even Mac. They can run on computers kiosk or other mobile devices such as desktops laptops iPads and iPhones. You can also purchase it for free download on the App Store. You have to have an account to be able to use this or at least to utilize it, it is a cloud-based module.
I have that from software advice, they did a review, they reviewed that point click care offers a variety of cloud-based modules in the senior care space including care delivery management, financial management, marketing business intelligence and quality compliance.
Facilities of any types use point click care from skilled nursing homes to senior living settings, mine is a skilled nursing home setting, I listed the same things they have listed on their website of what they offer. Mine would fall under marketing as far as my use would be marketing.
There are other facilities who use point click care such as Marketing, Medical Records, MDS, Dietary, Social Services, Life Enrichment and even therapy. Our physicians use it too. I personally use point click care, I use it through IRM, IRM stands for inquiry referral management. IRM are inquiry forms or potential admissions.
I put them into our computer. Once I input them into the computer in different departments, my facility are able to view this information. From that point, they start the admitting process. Whether I’m inputting verification forms for insurance companies through Medicare or private insurance, the finance office would take a hold of that information and continue with their finance portion.
If I’m inputting medical conditions, the nursing department would go on and take that and start reviewing the person or the potential admission. This is an overview of nursing based skill. I got this photo off the point click care website under one of their brochures. It’s called skill nursing solution map. This is a little overview of how different departments in my facility utilize point click care.
Mine would be marketing. You can see the insurance eligibility, verifications or inquiry referral management. These are things that I received from the hospital. You can see different departments and how they utilize point click care in different ways.
For example, the business office process claims collections. They do trust accounts and sencence management. The care team is more of the nursing. In the medical side of the school nursing facility, we have the Waits and vitals. Physician comes in and they need a review of their patients. We can print things out for them. They can view the exact same thing the nurses are viewing.
Everything’s available for the nurses, even different departments can view these things depending on their access to point click care. Everybody doesn’t have the same access granted, some people can view different things on point click care than others. For example, a weekend receptionist has access to point click care but he would not be able to view Waits and vitals and other information.
We have quality and compliance, business intelligence and different examples. This is a little example of what a screen would look like on point click care. This is from their personal website. If I log into my account, this is what I would see, this is a basic login.
You can’t log in from other locations since it is cloud-based. Depending on where you have access, that’s the only place where you can utilize point click care. If I had tried to log into point click care from home, it would let me know that there was trouble logging in. I am only able to use this on my property at work.
Even though you can access point click care on the computer or at home, you can’t utilize the program software unless you have an account or you have some access to it. These are different references I have.
