Quizlet Login Tutorial For Teachers

July 13, 2018

Description: This passage is mainly about quizlet login. In this passage, the writer shows us how to use Quizlet to enhance vocabulary instruction for the classes, which is a simple tool that lets students study anything for free and saves a lot of time.

It’s Emily in contributing blogger at secondary solutions blog com and today I want to show you how I’m using Quizlet to enhance vocabulary instruction for my classes, Quizlet is a simple tool that lets you study anything for free, and there are tons of things already inputted into Quizlet that can save you a ton of time.

So if you can see down here, there are languages standardized test, math, science, arts and literature, history and geography professional careers and a ton of other resources that are already in here, and I’ll show you how I get started.

Looking at them, you can look at the parts of speech, I focus on the English vocabulary, so now I have signed into my home screen here, I can see all my classes here on the left that I’ve already created, I’m currently teaching a remediation class or getting ready to teach a remediation class, so I’ve set up classes for the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade over here.

Then I’ll show you how I create a new class, so to create a class, you can call it English guthrie or whatever you want, and create your own and it doesn’t have any sets or any members yet, so to invite people, you put in their email address, so if you share this link, students can log into it and request to join the class.

They can put their names so you can approve the people that are in your class, and then they’ll show up under your class members, to add sets you click add a set and you can add some of the ones that you’ve already uploaded to your other classes or you can look for a new will, my students use the Savi or Oxford vocabulary workshop the book.

So I want to correlate with the book that they have, so I’m going to search specifically for Level II unit 1 for that, he’s going to click search and I see that there are a ton on here, there are some synonyms and antonyms which are definitions, so I’m going to look for the one that I want which is simple in here.

I’m going to see it and then I’m going to click copy, and then I can call it whatever I want, so I can call it week one or week five, I’ve got ten words here, if I want to delete them, I can do that, if I want to edit them, I can do that, if I want to add images or voiceovers, I can do that but I’m going to click Save.

Before I click Save, I’m going to show it to certain classes, I want to show it to that English 13 that we have made and save it, and now when students log in as English 13, they will see this set and they’ll be able to study it, so now I have signed in as a student, I’ll show you what students will be able to do once they have joined my class.

So this student has joined and got through English, she’s called Emily sample student 1, she’s not real, so I can go to week 1 and you can see that I have 10 terms and I’ll be able to do a lot of things with them, and I’ll show you in a second how the teacher can see what the student has done, how many times they’ve done it to make sure that they’re working as they need to.

So students can study the words and read them, in this way, they can do flashcards the flashcards can flip back and forth, or if you know them, you can skip straight through them in the end, you can start over, you can study them in the opposite way, we make it easier by showing both sides at the same time, so they can study cards that they’re having trouble with.

To go back to after they’ve studied the cards, they can go to the learn and here they’re going to have to type in the correct word and it’ll tell whether it’s correct or not, and if they spell it wrong, it’ll tell them how to spell it correctly, in the end of the learning section, it will tell the student what percent they have got, which ones that they have missed and which ones that they might want to study again.

They can also star these terms to study again maybe before the test, then they can go on to the speller, on the speller, you have to spell what you hear, so I hear the word accent, so it helps me collaborate discordant, at the end of the speller, it will tell me what percent of got right each round, what I need to study and then I can go over to the test.

I can fill in the test, I can write help and questions, I want students to pick the types of questions that their teacher uses on the actual test, so it will be a good conversation to have with students here, and here are a couple of the options for tests that this student can choose to take, and then at the end I can check my answers, it’s a hundred percent correct.

Then I can go over to this scatter game which is fun, you have to make everything disappear by dragging the words to their definitions or the definitions to their words, you can tell students what they need to get under a certain number of seconds in order to move on, or you can give extra credit to the quickest student if you want, that’s the scatter game.

Then it’s the race game, you’re going to have to type in the word as it comes across before it gets to the other side, and you have to spell it correctly too, and on this one, you can have students try to reach a certain minimum score, for example, you can say 10,000, they should be able to do that, if it goes all the way across, it’s about without the student typing in the correct answer, it’s going to tell them the right answer and make them type it in, and then they’ll lose a life at the bottom.

So they have to get maybe 10,000 points before they lose all of their lives, and they can get more lives by going to the higher levels, so now if I switch back over to my teacher account, I can see that it’s week one, I can click on week 1 and I can see my classes progress, I can see that two people have studied.

I can see each of the things that they’ve studied and how long ago they studied them, I can see which term students are getting right or which term students are missing sometimes, and I can go through and see their scores and information about it and help students in that way, we can go over certain difficult Spelling’s or difficult definitions and I can help them in that way.

They are having a fun and technological way to study their own vocabulary words, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please visit us at secondary so blog.com, thank you and have a great day.
