Let’s get started, what exactly is Sarahah? Sarahah means honesty in Arabic, so the name isn’t totally random, Sarahah is a social media platform that allows users to give and receive anonymous feedback with their friends, family members or coworkers.
When you sign up for your Sarahah account, a link will be generated which you can share with your friends that they can go to in order to leave you anonymous comments, you can share your Sarahah link on your social media so your friends know where to go.
To set up your Sarahah profile, download the app for free from the app store, then you can get started with the signup process, tap register to begin, create a username for your account, then tap next, then enter your name and email address, tap next again.
Come up with a password and write it in the last two boxes, tap the box at the bottom to agree to the terms of use and finally tap complete, now you can add a profile photo if you want to, tap the Settings icon at the bottom, then tap the profile button.
Tap the profile image button to upload a photo from your device, to get comments from your friends, you’ll need to share your Sarahah link, tap the share profile icon, then choose where you want to share your link, you can easily share it to Facebook, Twitter or whatsapp or copy the link so you can paste it somewhere else like snapchat.
To link your Sarahah with your snapchat account, copy your Sarahah profile link, then open snapchat, capture a photo or video to go with your link, you can even use a screenshot of your Sarahah profile if you want, tap the attachment icon, paste your Sarahah link in the text box, then tap go.
Tap attach to snap if you’re happy with the link preview, add a caption to let your friends know that they can swipe up to go to your Sarahah profile, then share the snap to your snapchat story, it will stay on your story for 24 hours, give your friends some time to leave you comments.
To see the feedback people have left you, tap the inbox button, if you see a comment you like, tap the heart icon to save it to your favorites, if you get a message you want to share with your friends on social media, tap the share icon, then choose where you’d like to post it.
To leave an anonymous message for one of your friends, tap the search icon, then type in their username in the text box, tap their profile when it appears, once you’re on their profile, you can type in an anonymous message for them, tap send.
