Description: The article is about sdi login. In this tutorial, the author explains how to use Role Assignments so that you can access you Monitors within the SAP HANA Cockpit. He also show how to allow users to both execute and schedule SDI tasks in the SAP HANA Cockpit.
Welcome to the SAP Hana Academy. My name is Bob, in this series, we’ll be looking at some of the new features in SAP Hana SBS 11. In this series, we’ll be looking at smart data integration. We have looked at installing the delivery unit needed to monitor tasks within smart data integration and you’re able to access three separate URLs, but in this task, we’re going to look at how we can access those URLs by using the SIP Hana cockpit.
You can see three different tabs for the DP agent monitor, the DP task monitor and the DP remote subscription monitor. In order to allocate these three URLs into our SP Hana cockpit, we will use roll assignment. The first step is to allocate these rolls to some assigned catalogs. We’re able to do this because we have already allocated the site designer role to our SHA user.
I’ll need go to my role assignment. I will do a search for that specific role which is the SP Hana IMDP monitor role. It’s the monitoring role, we need to access this, we need to give this role assignment so we can access this for your SAP Hana cockpit. If I click on plus and I scroll down, I can search for it.
If I do a search for Hana Enterprise Information Management, we can see that we’ve got our Hana enterprise information management data provisioning monitoring. If I click OK, you can see that these privileges are accessing. This is the ID, we’re giving read rights to this series of URLs or they will be tiled.
We’ve done that. All we need to do is to test it. I’m going to go back to SAP Hana forward/admin/cockpit to use the SP Hana cockpit. I’ll be able to organize these tales as that SHA user. If I click on plus, I can go, if I scroll down and search for enterprise information management data provisioning monitoring, these are three tabs that show up, the documentation is the fourth tale.
I’m going to add these tiles to my home group. I’m going to do this for the agent monitor and I’ll click on OK. Lastly I’ll add that task monitor to my home. If I go back to the home screen, you can see that we can access those three separate tiles simply by clicking each of the relevant tiles that we want to access.
Let’s firstly look at that agent monitor, we’ll test that, it works. If I click on the title, we can see that it launches that URL. We’re in the data provisioning agent monitor. If I go back to home of the SCP Hana cockpit and select the task monitor again, we can test the URL, it should also launch that URL directly from the home page within SAP cockpit.
We can shut those other URLs down. Now we’re going to look at these two monitors, the task monitor and the agent monitor. If we go back to the task monitor, you can see a small new feature called Auto refresh which is that check mark.
I can’t start or schedule any tasks. To do this, we have to log out of our SAPA helicopter as the SHA user. We’ have to log back in as system user to our security. I’m going to log into ACP hand access IDE. We’re going to log in as that system user and we’re going to have a look at the rights needed to start and schedule tasks.
If I go to my list of security and I select my SHA user, we can see that we’ve got some normal rights for site designer and for the SAV Hanna cockpit. We have already looked at an alarm and the monitoring role. But in order to schedule, we need to start a task, we need to allocate some of the rolls. If I click on the plus sign for the granted rolls, it operates.
We’ve got access to our operations. We should see some new icons appear within our task monitor. I’ll save this. We’ve allocated that rule. While we’re here, we may have a look at some other roles. I’ve also allocated three roles in my system privileges for adapter admin, agent admin and creating remote source.
I’ve allocated those rights. What we’re going to do is to look at monitoring and agent, there are a series of tasks. Those different sources are needed for those tasks. I’ve allocated the remote data source option for some videos that I’m working on in the future. I’ll log out of the security. We’re going to log back into our SAP HANA cockpit.
In the URL, I’ve got ACP Hana admin cockpit. We’re going to log in as that SHA user. I’ll type in my login SHA and my password. Within the home page, we’ve got access to our three separate tiles. If I go back to the task monitor, we’ll see that we’ve got two new icons. We’ve got the start icon.
Once we’ve got a task, we’ve also got the schedule icon, we’ve also got a stop. You can stop and start tasks as well as schedule them. We have looked at the rights that are needed in order to be able to access your monitoring URLs within the SAP Hana cockpit. We’re going to look at accessing an agent through the monitoring tool, we’re going to look at starting stopping and executing our scheduling tasks within our ICP Hana cockpit.
