The tutorial is designed to help you login to your student portal and navigate some of the basic functions and features that are located within it. The first thing you want to do is to open up your internet browser. What we’re going to do is to type in to the search bar CCC bwu, which will bring up Central’s home page.
What I would recommend doing is bookmarking this page. What I like to do is dragging that over to my menus bar, getting to the address. Another thing you can do is adding it to your favorites by clicking favorites. What is called a CSUN, we can name it in whichever way, so that next time all I have to do is click on favorites and CCC B will be in it.
From Central’s home page, not only do you have the news and events, but also some basic information about the college but many of the resources that you will need in your life here. Many of the resources in this tab are very helpful including your campus email links to many important places. For the purposes of the essay, however, we want to login to the student portal.
I’m going to click Yes because it is a trusted site, which will bring us to the student portal homepage. What is very important is to go into tools. What we’re going to want to do is disable the pop-up blockers so what we may turn off popup blockers. It’s very important. Then, we will use your school username and password to log in.
On portal homepage, there are the Student News and campus announcements, as well as some basic information that pertains to you on the left, such as an unofficial transcript as well as your grades ledger and financial aid. To the right, you will see all the courses that you are currently enrolled in.
Next, we will choose a class. Within each course, we have several options including the course information, course documents, assignments and your grades as well as the email for the professor. One of the most important aspects and features of the student portal is the course documents.
It is where the professors will upload the syllabus lectures and assignments for you to download. We’ll go back to course options as well as posting any assignment grades or tests that you may have received. The student portal is going to be essential to success. At central, you will need to check it often, and you want to check it regularly for any course announcements, any updates to the course documents and to check for your grades on assignments and tests. Thanks for reading.
