Description: The article is about target red card login. The author tells us some benefits the Target red card has. He also discusses about whether we should buy this card. The answer is that depends on how often you but things at Target and how much you spend at Target.
Today we’re going to talk about the target red card. I am going to tell you what are the benefits of the card and whether you should apply for it or not. I did a review on this card about a year ago. It was largely being critical of how target tries to recruit people for the program especially their employees.
I want to do a general informational segment for those of you who might be interested especially if you shop at Target a lot. The main benefits of these cards are that you can get five percent off for everything you but in the Target with the exception of some purchases at the pharmacy, target clinic or Target obstacles.
You can almost use that 5% off for everything you get on the Target. That means depending which state you live in,you can be not pay tax,not pay a certain portion of tax or if there’s no sales tax,you might get solid discount on the base price which is nice.
You should understand that it can only be used in Target stores and the discount only applies at the end of transactions. If you have a $50 purchase and you use a $10 gift card, you’re not getting five percent off 50,you’re getting five percent off after the gift card.
The added advantages would be on target.com. You can get free shipping although you have to understand that they can charge a handling fee depending on what item is. But otherwise when you are paying with a red card, you’re going to get free shipping.
You also get an additional 30 days to return most items in stores. That’s advantageous especially around the holidays if you’re traveling and you want a little bit more time to think about whether you’re going to keep something or not.
It is the way it works, you can go in store or you can do it online, you can do it by mail, but no one does it by mail anymore. You can get a debit card or a credit card. I have a debit card although I prefer the credit card option. The advantage about the credit card is that it is easier to apply for,you don’t have to bring in a voided check or a bank statement which is what you have to do with the debit card. If you apply online, you can dodge that problem with a debit card.
In terms of the credit cards financial conditions, purchase APR is twenty three point four percent which is a little bit on the high end,but it should not be hard with this card if you pay on time. You can set up automatic payments and we’ll be fine.
There’s no annual fees which is nice, the late payment can be up to $38 if you don’t pay your bills on time. With all that being said, you might ask the question, why use the credit card instead of using a debit card? This is how I see it. Even though there was the data breach, most people did not have anything compromised, they weren’t getting their accounts drained. It was an exaggeration.
The truth is that it’s better to have a credit card because if you get hacked, you have less liability for what happens whereas having something directly tied to your debit account even though it is quite secure. If your account get hacked, you have a little bit more responsibility for money that goes out of your debit account, that’s how things work with banks.
It doesn’t make sense and banks are starting to even move away from that. But generally speaking especially when you’re using it in a physical target,if you are using them online,it’s better to have a credit card because if it gets hacked, they’re going to say you’re not responsible.
Debit accounts can be a little bit more complicated. If you’re applying in the card that can be hacked a lot easier, then you are not advised to use it. The debit card requires you to have a voided check,so for your own benefit, you should stick with the credit card. It is unfortunate that you have to make an additional payment or you have to send a lot of medic payments, but beyond that it gives you the same discount and a little bit more security additive.
Should I get the red card? If you shop at Target a lot,you should. If you get your groceries at Target, you’re going to benefit from the consistent 5% off. You can stack it with other things from Target cartwheel, sometimes if you use Target pharmacy they give you this five percent off coupon so you can add everything up and get a free piece and discount.
That being said if you don’t go to Target that much, the five percent is not going to be a big deal. It adds up when you’re doing your groceries, making a lot of purchases or if you’re falling off of target.com. But if you don’t go to Target much, you prefer Walmart, you are a big Walmart nationalist or you go to Costco, then you don’t necessarily need this card.
