Description: The article is about twc login. The passage is a TWC enhanced DVR Review. The author gives some details about the TWC enhanced DVR including the advantages and disadvantages of it. He also show how to use it in your house.
This is a review of Time Warner Cable’s enhanced DVR. This is the box,it’s basic motorola style DVR,it has six tuners, one terabyte hard drive and a new graphic interface which I am showing you now. This is the first time I use this before I get to that. This is the actual remote and here’s our guide. It’s very basic,it is similar to Direct TV but a lot better than a lot of the cable companies Motorola style boxes.
I’m scrolling through the guide,we can see many channels, that’s the channel bar at the bottom. If we click information,we will get brief information. If you click information again then you’ll get more actual information about what’s going on. If you go to on demand, this is the interface for on-demand. There are new movies on the right.
This is your free section, you can see themed layouts, premiums holidays etc. But if you’re looking for a specific channel you should go to networks and find the one that you’re looking for. In this case we’ll find HBO. You can see what it looks like. It shows you the artwork in information, you can see the rating description.
One thing I don’t like about that is you can click the exit button on your remote and it will take you out on demand which I’m clicking now,you can see it does nothing. What you have to do is that you need to continuously go back or you have to type in a channel number. In this case I’ll type in 33 and then it’ll take us to that channel. It’s a minor annoyance.
For your DVR,you need to click the list button, this shows what you have on your DVR,that’s how you can manage your delete shows, series or manager recording log. I want to tell you one thing that I don’t like. I’m new to this,I moved to the Los Angeles area so I’m not sure about it,I haven’t done a lot of research online. If you go through this, there are certain shows that you want to delete, there should be a shortcut key to delete, but there isn’t.
You have to go to the side where this delete shows, you can click on that and then click the checkbox next to the one that you want to delete and then click select delete. It’s a bit annoying,it takes more steps than it needs to. But other than that,it’s fine,it’s a welcomed addition over the I guide,a lot of cable companies have that,I used to have it too.
I used to use TiVo primarily because the interface was so bad with the cable company which was Charter Communications. I’m trying to think if there’s anything else I can show. There’s a search that you can do. It is very basic, you can type in MBA to see what we get. It has already populated on the right,it shows all the games. If you want to record one which is I’m going to do,you can sit on the there,we’re going to end about 30 minutes later.
That’s such a report. I haven’t had any bugs that had any issues. Those are two minor things that are annoying. But other than,it’s not a bad box. You are having the ability to record six things with a terabyte hard drive,it doesn’t leave a lot of room to complain. I’ll scroll through the card,I will tell you the one minor thing. This has nothing to do with the cable box itself,it has more to do with Time Warner, they are lack of premium HD channels for the network.
There are HBO,HD,HBO 2,HBO signature,HBO family,HBO comedy all those are standard definition, they’re not HD. This HBO zone is also standard but not HD. There’s a lot of room for improvement, but other than that, you can stick with the box and the hardware is great. If you can get it in your area,I would highly recommend it.
