Description: The article is about vystar login. This passage is the history of the VyStar credit union. The author introduces why he found the VyStar credit union, how they grew up bigger and what they can do for their customers.
At the time we thought about the credit union,it came about to me because I were concerned with the fact that employees were being taken advantage of in the community by the loan companies credit Claudius. The loan companies and the credit Claudia thought they had a good thing which was using the Navy as a collection agency.
They were writing letters to the command saying that certain employee had failed to take any of his obligations,it was my responsibility to check them out when those letters came in. The employees supervisor needed to help them understand that they must meet the obligations, the command did not like employees drawing a paycheck and not paying out legal obligations in the community,it was not a good image for the Navy.
I began to wonder what could be done about it. I was aware of credit unions and that’s when I’ve started to look into the possibility of getting a credit union established at the station. Eventually I met a military officer who was from senior civilian and civilian personnel department,he listened to me,we agreed to try to go with the credit union.
The original funds were kept in a little box,it was first sixty dollars,if I would call right I think it was a good cigar box. We started out with volunteers and we had people that we selected as representatives at the credit union, they worked out in the shops and accepted money for people for deposit.
When we first started credit union, one of the things we agreed that the commanding officer would not loan to military any more than the head on deposit, that policy is stuck for several years before we finally got them to agree that we could treat them as we did to the civilians, they could borrow more than a head on deposit.
People were handling money and keeping the records on old counting machine. Our first employee was Nikki who was employed and she hired of Betty Fortunato who worked with her, they were located and built in south of the main administration building, that’s where our first office was.
The Navy was fine,it was the civilian in top management that was very reluctant to see us get involved in the credit unit. It was certainly a great thing because there was nowhere that some people could go to get a line of credit or to borrow to buy a car,it was hard for them because of the pay.
I’ve had people ask me many times that whether any of us felt that the credit unit would ever grow to the size of this today. The growth was dependent upon the vision and the dedication of personal time and talent of the people that were willing to volunteer. A lot of people have put in a lot of time, they have put in a lot of the talent, someone has put in a lot of their treasure to make the credit grow.
It is their responsibility to make it continue to grow and to help people with this. We can become the primary financial institution of any of our members,we can do anything for them financially. It’s in our hands to see the thing continue to grow and to be a real asset to the community.
